over talking about killing rifts.. but when I asked how/where to find them, they are VERY vague and say they spawn at random. I think thats

I'm in outland and I've seen more then one up at a time. So i would just ride in a circle or run in a circle till you find them.

Ok, it looks like there might be a quest associated with it.

I am in Wintergarde Keep. I showed up here just for grins cuz it said there was one on that list.

The fight was just starting with water elementals. I killed a shitload of them but got no credit for them.

It spawned like 9:45PM Pacific time.

The Mysterious Device had a "!" on it and the quest says I need to take it to SW, Darnassas, IF or exxodar.

I will let you know what it says when I get there.

if you got the device you got credit as far as I can tell..

and its a feat of strength so no tracking

Nika, I was at Oberon's Holding or what ever the hell it is, in Zangarmarsh last night, questing, it is a teeny place, and water elementals

attacked.. I was checking my mail, and a guard ran by freaking out and I was like.. WTF? so I started killing them.. it lasted about 3 min

and I killed quite a few.. then nothing happened. They went away.

OH! I did get a water buff!

Thanks! I logged back into Westfall this morning and one was right in front of me, lol. I killed all the elementals and a new symbol

appeared in the middle of my bottom action bar, it was a big question mark, gray in a circle, and mousing over it said mysterious device..

but when I clicked on it, I just got the help prompt about how to use the action bar, and it went away

Hm strange. I went back in after the restart and it was back. Killed it again but I didn't get that extra button on my screen, or a quest.

You can only loot ones at your level. If you're 60ish or whatever in Westfall, you wont get it. Youd have to be in outland (for example)

yea and sometimes it seems hard to find the excamation point on the crystal..
