i know it's possibly graphics card-related. a reboot helps and i'm trying to make sure that the machine doesn't overheat

hmmm. even when it's not hosed, i don't get shadow rendering. long ago, i tweaked the graphics card settings for optimal performance. >>

and must do the same with the viewer's graphical settings all the time as they are constantly resetting themselves. >>

just checked, i have disabled the graphics card 3d refresh rate override. will see if that helps. >>
