Yep, I started out in 1st and had to change to 3rd for that reason. Still have to re-write first few pages. (annoyed)

1st because I have a hard time conveying emotion in 3rd.

Mudcakes: That's interesting - that's why I started mine in 1st but it ended up not making sense.

I find it easier to get the reader to connect with a difficult character if I do it in 1st.

Well I have no problem switching off POVs (And I often do)
