doing 2k-6k. When I heard them asking on vent just now if we had enough dps to complete this raid, I made up an excuse and said I

had to do housework and asked if there was anyone else ing uild to step in, which there is. I declined 15 raid events on the calender. I'm

so humiliated and feel so crappy that I'm THIS bad. I guess I'm going to retire Nika as just an rp character, and start over with my

worgen when Cataclysm comes out, and I HAVE to learn to play and be better. Even my level 31 priest consistantly runs about 40 dps while

nuuu!!! that sounds more like a gear issue.... and probably practice in Heroics

I think one of the things that's happened is your guild right at 80 started taking you into raids instead of letting you learn and practice

in heroics.

and looking at your gear I think I can give you some pointers on what to get and how to get it.

I think Nikaa is done, I have way too much trouble with melee. The biggest mistakes I make are with positioning, staying out of the way of

bombs and poisons, movement, etc. I'm hoping on my hunter I can stay back and do better with ranged

Keep Nikaa for special fun stuffs then, I don't think Rogues are known to put out huge dps in raids, but maybe I am wrong.

I think they are pretty specialized for certain tasks in certain dungeons... and I think you have done extremely well. Don't feel bad,

Gear level affects your dps trememndously and you can't learn unless you try.

I think I'm just going to study the hell out of hunters when I make mine and focus really hard on being the best. I do have to point

out that my guild has been awesome, they've NEVER said anything to me about it, at least in a negative way, they've offered to help me,

inspected my gear, made suggestions, watched my rotations and offered tips, etc

But I'm hindering them

I just talked to Kirana for awhile, she wants me to not give up on Nikaa and let her grind heroics with me to work on rotation and better

gear. If it wasn't for Cata coming out in a couple weeks I might consider. But I already have big plans to start grinding to 80 on my

hunter, so honestly even if I wasn't having issues with Nikaa, she'd probably end up on the back burner anyway

How's your talent trees?? Maybe that's where the issues lie...

I already redid my talent tree to copy Cambro's when he was helping me with my rotation, it didn't help

While I think you should work on your character, if you do feel uncomfortable about where to stand, ranged might be better...

but then there is an issue of the pet, people who dont play hunters hate the pets so you have to deal with ignorant people

or people who think they know better. I apprecite when someone asks if I have a different one for a diff purpose but at the same time

as a hunter I really like my main for a variety of reasons

you dont know drama like hunter drama

have you tanked before?

You might wanna get comfortable being a tank, tanking for low levels out in instances can boost your confidence if thats an issue

but I dont know diddly, I play for fun, I try not to embarrass my guild master too much, and just do what he says, utilizing him as a mentor

No, Nika is my first 80. My next highest is my 32 priest. Do you know of any good add-ons for hunters? I'd like to look into that, too

I practice using the bear to tank or draw npcs to me, I practise kiting, etc

now since I dont have to stable, I am trying out all my pets tanking the same prey to see how they react to get a feel for each being unique

I swear there is a forum out there with my picture and a contest to see how many people can gank me, if that makes you feel better

I like playing a hunter, cause I play on my own mostly, I liked ranged its pretty interesting. I notice I play my shaman as ranged too

lets you know what you have in inventory and how much of it is in other characters of yours and in bank

There is no way you should be doing anything but running heroics, and any guild thats taking you isnt smart if they arent also willing

to help you develop your toon by doing heroics

basically....your the fat chick that makes them look thin

but they are also ugly, cause you are dragging them down

Change servers if you have to to find a guild that will run you in heroics

no use going off to college without finishing HS

It is a good idea to run dungeons at lower levels, the low levels are designed to teach you where to stand and how to avoid aggro etc.

know what you are doing

to get comfortable tanking I had to do deadmines over and over by myself on my death knight

either talk to your guild master about helping to develop your toon, or find another group cause, there are tons of guilds out there

that do like to help develop people
