umm... I think mas realistic yung pinili na lighting technology na pinili ng GT5. It might have been an art direction choice.

Forza seems to like looking surreally clean... parang world na hindi uso alikabok.

good lighting is a huge factor in making things look more photorealistic.

no doubt mas grabe attention to detail sa GT5 though. It's not really a technology thing... mas OC lang yung artists nila.

judging from the comments, GT5 has a "photo mode". What it does is adds extra effects and uses the highest detail LOD models...

ingame might look slightly less pretty... but not enough to matter because I doubt you'd be looking at the small details while racing.
