Mei was sitting on one of the common room couches reading a book.

*sees her and walks up to, sitting beside her* "M..Mei-chan?"

Mei looked up from her book and smiled when she saw Kiku. "Hi Kiku!"

"A..am I keeping you from your homework?"

Mei shook her head. "Nope. I'm just reading a regular book."

"A..Ah well if I am not interrupting you, I have something to tell you.."

"Sure! What is it?" She marked the page she was on and closed the book.

*Smiles at her, almost unable to hold in his excitement in any longer* "Ah..well..The captain of the Quidditch team posted the official-

roster for this years team and....they chose me as their seeker."

Mei smiled brightly and hugged him. "I'm so happy for you Kiku!"

*blushes as he returned the hug* "Arigato. I never thought I would make it."

Mei giggled. "Of course you would have! I'm sure you're a great quidditch player."

"Arigato...I..owe you much. Your support and encouragement helped me much."

Mei pecked his cheek. "You're welcome Kiku."

"Y..You will come to my games, hai?"

"I said I would if you made the team, didn't I?"

"Hai..but I know you do not enjoy the games.."

"Well, that's because the other teams aren't exactly fun to watch since I really don't care which team wins."

"Ah.." *he gently took her hand, intertwining his fingers with hers* "It will mean much to have you there."

Mei smiled and squeezed his hand lightly. "Then I'll make sure to make all the games."

"Arigato... I only hope I can retrieve the snitch at the games as well as I did in try outs.."

"I'm sure you will do great Kiku."

*he smiled at her, gently putting her arm around her* "The only downside is practices seem to be quite early in the morning."

Mei shook her head. "No, you'll have a reason to be tired."

*nods* "I'll do my best not be, perhaps resting between classes may help."

"Just don't sleep in class, okay?"

*chuckles* "No...I should not..it would upset the professors."

"And you would get behind."

"Hai..that too...I will do my best to stay awake and focused."

"Good."

*cuddles closer to her* "So what were you reading?"

"Just a muggle book."

"Ah...fictional?"

"Yeah."

"It must be quite good."

Mei nodded. "I got it in London before hurrying to catch the train."

"Ah...it was a good purchase."

"I should've boughten more books."

"W..we could visit the library here if you want."

"But it isn't the same.."

"Ah...perhaps Hogsmede has a book shop. We visit there soon."

"Mm.. That would be nice.."

*nods, kissing her cheek* "I will buy you one when we go then."

Mei smiled at him. "Thank you Kiku."
