The only problem is...there wasn't any school. He didn't seem t notice there were no other kids, cars, or any of the obvious signs

He proceeded to go on to work as usual, venting to another co-worker about his crappy morning, running late, and all that.

He explained how he was late dropping Hannah off at school. That was the point where the co-worker made him aware that there wasn't school

Needless to say, he drove back to the school to get her only to find her balling and "walking to Gmas"

Me too...he is lucky it happened in a town of 2500 people and we all know each other.

HowieGee: That pretty much what we thought about it too. You would think he would pay more attention AND protect his one and only child.

Maybe he was just having a really bad day and had a lot on his mind. I am glad she was okay though. That is the most important thing.

He felt SO bad. We have been able to laugh about it. I am really looking forward to Father's Day to tease him about this incident.

Someday (soon we hope) she'll be able to laugh about it too.
