On a really tangential but related note: I hate how it's usually male actors who are ... for lack of a better term 'the total package'

Like, there are just a lot of male actors out there who have like bachelors of lit, can sing, sword fight, dance, etc

You never see women with those sorts of credentials in movies like ... ever

yeah, there's a few that can sing and dance. But generally the physique that goes with sword fighting is not...um, encouraged in leading

actresses

and, emma watson is going to college, so there's that. You're right though, not many do, and I'd guess part of that is the perception that

an actress will have a shorter 'shelf life' so she should do as many movies as she can while she's young and hot

I'd love to see more renaissance women actresses... some do singing and acting like Kristin Chenoweth ( ) though that's because

she came from theatre. She does have a BFA though!
