what happened? Was this from the stove incident?
no. that increased my sensitivity. spent the day packing up a friend's burned out apt. trying to salvage stuff
even w/ respirators - you breathe it. and now - every slight smell at home triggers it. it hurts.

try a nice hot & steamy shower, the steam vapors will help you breathe
i have done that Fricker. AND gotten into the hot tub to soak. our clothes have been put thru the wash 2x, our shoes/coats are outside
we have nothing in the house now that was in the apt. but i had to turn off the gaslog fireplace - was irritating already irritated lungs
my son, my sister and i spent hours there today. i feel like my nose, throat, lungs will never be clear
but i have a home. and i am incredibly grateful for that. i hope you all have planned fire escapes, fire plans.
I am always worried about that, all the bedroom are on the 3rd floor with the staircase at one end. So I want an emergency roll up ladder
to put in the closet. I better go buy that tomorrow
Have you tried a sinus rinse?
i dont know what that is. /me sort of grins. it sounds unpleasant....
OMG, Ahuva, is everyone at your friends' ok, and do they have short term needs taken care of, or do we need to pass the hat?
*hugs* Sean. that is so sweet. everyone is alive. but his apt is destroyed. he was under-insured.

has been out of work for a yr
it's another story that is becoming common, i'm afraid. he found a storage unit - that's where what we did today is heading
now looking for a place to live (in Phila). he is still pretty much in shock. staying w/ various friends. it's very sad.
we're hoping that the kitchenware/art/books can be washed and kept. the furniture/rugs will be done professionally
so besides checking your fire escape routes - revisit your insurance policies.
very very sobering. scary. sad. happened a week ago today - he was in the shower - heard the alarm. bedroom was in flames
oh, interesting Fricker. if i am still hurting tomorrow, i will go find this. thank you!
/me is overinsured, due to the firearms and paranoia, but it's cheap at the price.
yes. ins would have covered cleaning the art professionally. but he is alive. ok. stuff is just stuff. he is irreplaceable
smoker? how did it start?
no, not a smoker. thought is that it was electrical fire - in the wall.
augh - can't prevent that
