but I wonder if any of the Gaga badgers like this woman and if so why her and not Gaga? I only know of her by this song and while the song

is not a "dance" song as most of Gaga's popular ones are - I see similarities in their style of performance and presentation going by this

song. So without too much snakiness, can someone explain why they think this woman is fabulous and Gaga is Satan? Thanks.

And while I have a no dog in this fight, I'll point out that what you were watching there was a music video - and they are often "artistic".

The knock against Lady Gaga for most people is the gimmickry - the spectacle whether it's just a device to push the music or not...

...and the gross overexposure because of the gimmickry. I have a complete different reason for disliking it, but that's neither...

...here nor there. Musical taste is subjective. I like a lot of things that people find pointless.

i like both florence and lady gaga and it's never occurred to me to compare them. they are like apples and oranges to me.

florence is a much more natural presence -- watch other videos from her and i think the gaga connection instinct will fade quite a bit

or maybe not. i see florence as a much more naturalistic musician and gaga as more manufactured but they both do put on a big show lol

and yeah, to echo what juke said, i think a lot of people just think gaga is a famewhore who does anything for attention...

... but she's pretty up-front and unapologetic about that and has designed her persona around that, and is playing the industry in a way

that doesn't bother me. the current state of the music industry feeds that, and she is slapping it in the face and milking it with a wink
