thanks! Over here, one has to take one's car in for a Ministry of Transport test at a certified garage one each year. Cars under 3 years

lemongrass: this is for the driver rather than the vehicle. Infinitely wise Florida no longer requires vehicle inspections. (eyerolll)

ell: I think some cities require but it's not statewide. And yes it does tend to lower the overall vehicle "standards."
