i have yet to make it. we keep buying it from the local indian takeout but one day i hope to make it, or at least most of it, from scratch
i may be a bit overzealous... but this stuff is so good!
that looks yummy! I'm not brave enough to tackle such exotic ingredients yet though.
well, to be fair, i'm not either. i can manage the potatoes, and chickpeas but for the sauces/chutneys i suspect i may want to buy some from
an indian market or restaurant first, and then figure out how to make them later. i'll need a baseline comparison anyway. 'from scratch' may
be a couple of years from now

whenever I see a recipe with ingredients I've never heard of, I tend to shy away. And there's at least 3 on that one.
lol... well, it's not too bad. you can get used to it. the first time i remember having indian was only about 15 years ago, and i had no
idea what anything on the menu was except for 'chicken' , 'cheese', potatoes, and 'peas'
that looks like a keeper!
I worked for a Sikh lady who brought in leftovers for lunch and I learned to really enjoy all that India food

very nice, shelley! any suggestions? we're trying to branch out a bit further than just curry, vindaloo, and naan.
i tried a kind of pepper chicken the other day which was quite good, though it was a touch sweeter than i'd like.
ah, damn, che i almost tried that one and backed out at the last second! i will add it to the 'must try' list
if you like green chilis its the way to go. I pretty much lived on the stuff in England.
I am going to check this place out for sure!
i love green chilis!

i will def. try jalfrezi
I can't remember any of the actual names except chapatis
nice site, shelley. i'll have to check it out
we also had gulab jamun. i doubt i pronounced it correctly, but they understood when i pointed. anyway, it's... pretty good but an
acquired taste. here is
a recipe for those who want an idea of the taste. quite sweet but not
a great deal of flavor. it was better warm at the restaurant than when we had it delivered and it was lukewarm.
it seems western european and, by extension, american desserts are more my speed
Mojo is right. This stuff was incredible! Sooooo good. I don't even really like onions, but there were onions in it (raw) and it was still
their sweets? SWEET! I have never eaten any 'dessert" that was as sweet as Indian - six inches of syrup on everything
lol, shelley. it was really quite sweet, it's true!
