cut up soft tortillas and fry them in oil. if you're going to fry, why not spend the 10 minutes to make the tasty dough versus frying

thanks for the insight, shelley. i don't think i've had such a thing, but i presume it would taste different from the fried daal dough.
though i can't be sure. however, i now have something to add to my dessert repertoire
