Doesn't work at my house, either They would start jumping up and down with glee, assuming that they were getting all new clothes.

only if the clothes actually start to disappear. Of course they may think they're getting new clothes, but when that doesn't happen

they will start to get it together...hopefully. That's what I did with the toys but I really throw them away...

yeah, we're starting to do that with the toys too, but the broken, etc. ones really get tossed, and the others go in a toy bin in the other

maybe I should get a bin instead of actually throwing the toys away...that might have something to do with the toy clutter reduction
