just checked it out. On my Mac I use Adium for IM- an aggregator. This looks interesting.

I have a couple of sons on university staff / computer techies (as well). They are using digsby rather than phone, I believe. Worth the look

I used to use it w/ twitter. I haven't used an outside client for plurk though.

i like to look at the whole plurk environment, don't you. Plurk seems so different!
