Mao Zedong tookover an organization and decided to try taking over the entire Vietnam.
however, Vietnam was composed of two; Mao Zedong and Ho Chi Minh (Communist, but the good guy).
Zedong was a bad leader; he collected the money from the third party (peasants) while Ho Chi Minh's main priority was the people.
and since Ho Chi Minh was like that, he gained more power since the people liked him.
Then the Japanese tried taking over. They conquered the West/East (can't really remember). But Zedong focused more on the communists.
when Ho Chi Minh's people asked, "why are you not attacking the Japanese?" during Zedong's attack, he replied bluntly,
"the Japanese are a disease to the skin (NOT BLOOD PALA). The communists are a disease to the *heart*."
as they attacked Ho Chi Minh's people, the people decided to threaten them. There comes the U.S.; "if a country is threatened by communists,
we will support that country."
But using guerilla techniques (Vietcong), Ho Chi Minh's people won in the simplest of ways even against the U.S.
that was the only war the U.S. lost.
