hadn't forgotten anything. She was even borrowing socks and shoes from someone for it! Though she may have accidentally fallen asleep.
knocks on the door. "Thora?"
stretched out with a yawn, her hair sticking up in every direction. She frowned as she went to open the door. "Hm?"
raises an eyebrow. "Ready?"
's eyes widened when she realized it was Lukas. She shook her head and walked back in to the room to look for the shoes and socks she'd_

if she was expecting someone else.
wasn't expecting anyone and hadn't anticipated falling asleep. She tried to tame her hair down.
knows that he made it clear he would be coming over...
had just woken up. Her mind wasn't functioning fully.
just glad that she didn't tell him to go away.
adjusted her bikini top in the mirror before pulling on the socks and shoes. "Alright, let's go."
watches. "Are you going to put on a proper shirt?"
looks down at herself. She had a bikini top and shorts on… the other women on the boat wore this much or less! "What's wrong with this?"
stares at her. "You're wearing a swimsuit top around?"
"Why not?" She didn't see what was wrong with that. It was hot outside.
frowns slightly. "We're not going swimming."
"That's why I'm wearing shorts and trainers." She said motioning to her shorts and shoes.
"So you decided to wear proper clothes until you got to your top?"
"This is proper." She smirked. "I've seen some girls here wearing nothing on top."
nods. "Ja, and you aren't some girls, you're my sister."
raised an eyebrow. "Technically neither am I."
"I'm from another dimension, our worlds are different. Meaning it is impossible for us to be biologically related." She shrugged.
nods. "But you are the female equivalent of my biological brother which makes you my sister. We still have the same DNA."
"But I'm not the same person as your brother. We may look alike, or behave similarly, but we're not twins. Our leaders aren't the same, our_
bosses aren't the same, and our people aren't the same. Similar maybe, but we're still from somewhere different." She said stubbornly.
stares at her. "You don't know that for sure."
"And you don't know that I'm actually your sister for sure." She shrugged. She didn't know why she was arguing this, she had actually_
enjoyed having him as a brother.
narrows his eyes. "I do."
nods. "I do. Now put on a proper shirt so we can go."
"I like my bathing suit top." She frowned. It wasn't even that revealing of a top.
sighs. "But what if there's something sharp? You could get a cut."
"I'm more likely to be cut on my arms or legs than my chest or stomach." She said realistically.
"If you lose your grip, you'd hit the wall with your stomach."
"I won't lose my grip." She rolled her eyes. If there was one thing in the world she could handle, it was somewhat extreme landscapes (and_
still worried, though. "Just please, for my sake."
"I don't have any clean shirts."
"Then I'll lend you one. But you should have packed enough shirts for the trip."
"I don't like shirts; I packed dresses." She shrugged, though she did like the idea of stealing one of his shirts.
sighs. "Then you can borrow one of mine. Come on."
"If your brother wanted to wear a bikini would you force a shirt on him, too?" She asked as she followed him towards his room.
nods and opens the door to his room. "Of course I would. I'd make him put on proper pants, too."
raised an eyebrow at him.
sighs and pulls out a shirt, passing it to her. "Well if he was in a bikini... no one wants to see that kind of thing on a guy."
"Some people have weird kinks. Sadiq'd probably like it." She shrugged and put the shirt on.
stares at her. "Really, don't bring it up."
"Don't bring stuff like that up."
"Why not?" She asked curiously as she smoothed out his shirt. It made her look like a boy… without pants.
pauses. "Do you want to borrow a pair of pants, too?"
"They'd probably fall off, or be so baggy I tripped and fell." She said honestly. Rock climbing in baggy pants wasn't usually a good idea.
frowns but nods. "Okay. Let's go."
actually excited to try the rock wall.
also excited but still a little worried about her, not that he would say it. He walks out and starts over to where he saw it.
didn't know why he was worried about her.
beginning to realize this.
Lukas
wonders 14 years ago
why she's only noticing now.
had been too busy squealing mentally over getting attention from him to see it.
had been worrying about her ever since he figured out she was his sister.
appreciated it… sometimes…
would be glad to hear that.
knows that she never will.
swings her hands at her sides as she looks at the rock wall; she couldn't wait to tackle it.
walks up to a gear stand and gets some harnesses.
follows behind him and lets him do everything since he seems more familiar with this than she is.
passes her a harness and gets ready.
took the harness and got ready, occasionally glancing at him to make sure she was doing it right.
notices and smiles faintly before walking up to the wall.
wasn't used to this modern day harness stuff… in her day they climbed up mountains with sheer luck (and drunken stupidity.)
doesn't think that sounds intelligent, even though he did the same thing. But he could just say he was younger and stupider.
could say the same thing… and even go as far to say that she had learnt it from Norge. In which case it is sort of his own fault.
... could just say that she was going through a rebellious phase and trying to be different from him.
doesn't think that counts if she was doing the same thing he was doing…
Lukas
thinks 14 years ago
that's beside the point. He starts to climb the wall, thinking that it was pretty easy.
follows up besides him, feeling a bit disappointed at how easy it was. This was nothing like trying to climb a glacier.
really thinks that the ship wouldn't want to carry a glacier around with it...
Thora
thinks 14 years ago
it would melt too quickly here… and it's not the same without the rush of excitement of knowing you're on an active volcano.
doesn't think a rush in necessary...
enjoys the exhilarating feeling of it.
appreciates the exhilarating feeling of knowing that he'll be alive even if he does fall.
would appreciate the safety more if she were higher than 15 feet off the ground.
could push her if she wants more danger....
doesn't think he would do that.
tries to surprise her by swinging towards her.
holds on to the wall with one hand and puts her other hand up to shove him away.
smirks faintly and
swin.gs the opposite way
rolls her eyes and climbs up higher.
climbs up further as well.
stopped at the top and looked at him curiously to see what they were supposed to do next.
climbs to the top before smiling slightly at her and letting completely go of the wall, starting to fall rapidly towards the floor.
follows suit. Falling did feel fun.
pulls the line taut right before he hits the ground and unhooks himself, starting to pull the harness off.
frowned as she unhooked herself and shimmied out of the harness. "That was fun."
Lukas
wonders 14 years ago
vaguely why she's frowning if it was fun. "Ja..."
missed her own mountains.
knows she can see them anytime when she gets home. He puts his harness back on the rack. "Anything you want to do now?"
shrugged. "It's up to you."
frowns. "No, it's up to you. I'm the one who dragged you here."
frowned. She'd already gone swimming a lot, and the pool was always crowded, and she wasn't going to invite him to the baths. The only other
thing she knew the ship had was food, and she wasn't very hungry for what they had.
"I'll take that as a no then...?"
"I…" She scowled, trying to think of something. She wanted to do something with him, she just couldn't think of anything. "I brought_
supplies for knitting if you want to do that."
scowls. "What's wrong with knitting?"
"I never said anything was wrong with knitting, I simply said the word to see if I had heard correctly."
wasn't sure if she believed that, but he wasn't exactly offering any better ideas.
being completely honest. "Sure. I can't knit very well, though."
"What?" She looked at him in confusion. How could he not knit well?
blinks. "What do you mean what?"
"You can't knit very well?" She had always assumed Norge would knit better than her.
shrugs. "I can knit decently. Nothing fancy."
"Oh." She nodded slowly, thinking it wasn't a very good suggestion then.
"If you want to, we still can."
shook her head. "We don't have to."
shrugs. "If you want to, it's fine."
pauses. "Well it's not like we have any better ideas."
starts to take off the shirt he gave her. It was hot.
resists the urge to tell her to keep it on because he doesn't want to start an argument.
"It's hot." She frowns as she folded it over one arm.
shrugs. "I didn't say anything."
decides to just ignore this topic and starts to walk.
pretty predictable when it comes to this.
tells herself that she isn't, and that she was just following him because she was bored.
shrugs, not really knowing.
frowned but continued walking with him. She wasn't following him, she was just walking towards the same unknown destination he was.
appreciates the company. ""Anywhere you want to go?"
glanced out at the water as they walked, though her gaze kept going back to him to make sure she hadn't lost him.
notices this and smiles faintly.
frowns when he smiles, but says nothing as she continues walking. She hoped that her sister was back when the cruise was over.
hoped that she would still visit him even if she was back.
would visit him if he invited her.
would probably show up late… she wouldn't want to look too eager.
knows not to expect her on time.
"It's why I asked it you wanted to go anywhere."
nodded, and continued to walk besides him aimlessly.
liked just walking with her. It was kind of relaxing.
enjoyed walking with him, too.
would be glad to know that.
would only admit it if she was drunk.
still knows she must like it or she wouldn't be walking with him.
say that she has nothing better to do.
bored. Her brother should entertain her.
doesn't know what to do to entertain her.
puts her feet on the bottom of the railing and leans over the edge to look at the water.
stops and watches her before walking up to the railing.
didn't look up from the water at him. She couldn't wait to get home and see her own water.
doesn't really think it's much different.
Thora
thinks 14 years ago
it feels entirely different.
Lukas
thinks 14 years ago
water is water there isn't really much room for variation.
Thora
thinks 14 years ago
he is wrong.
knows that there's water and ice and water vapor but outside of that, water is just water. It's the things around it that are different.
doesn't think of it in such harsh, concrete terms.
doesn't think it's harsh, just fact.

Thora

that they still affect the over all feel of the water, which in turn affects ones perception of it.
"I wonder what would happen if I fell in." She mused while leaning further over the railing.
"I can tell you what won't happen, I wouldn't jump after to save you." He would.
"I can swim, I wouldn't need you to." She knew he would.
leant over a bit more and dropped his shirt to the deck so she could hold on to the railing to steady herself as she precariously teetered_
raises an eyebrow. "Thora, don't."
"Don't what?" She looks back at him with a frown, not moving from her position.
"Don't fall into the water."
scoffed. "Why would I want to do that?"
rolls his eyes. "I don't know."
"Then why did you tell me not to?" She smirked, teetering a bit further over.
narrows his eyes. "Just don't."
rolled her eyes and acted like she was about to fall in.
knows she's bluffing so does nothing.
almost loses her balance and nearly fell over for real.
reaches out to try and grab her arm.
steadies herself and jumped back down, laughing lightly as she picked up his shirt. *That* got her heart racing, and she loved that feeling.
frowns and pulls his hand away. "Be careful."
"I'm fine." She grins brightly. Her mood always improved when her adrenaline was pumping.
' mood always lessened when his siblings' adrenaline was pumping.
walked a few steps behind him, biting her lip to keep from grinning.
walks, trying to keep himself from lecturing her.
reached up swiftly to lightly pull his curl before looking out at the ocean 'innocently.'
stops midstep and turns to her. "Nei...."
looks up from the water as though she'd done nothing. "Hm?"
rolls his eyes and goes back to walking.
stops again. "This isn't funny, Thora."
fails at keeping a straight face. "It is for me."
sighs and begins to walk again, keeping an eye on her.
smirks as she walks besides him. This was fun.
at least glad that she stopped touching his curl.
biding her time. It wasn't nearly as fun when he expected it.
wasn't going to let down his guard again.
knows that he will… some day… and she'll be there waiting to attack.
would do it when he couldn't stop her.
would make sure she never had the chance to.
hums to herself with amusement.
rolls his eyes, still a little irritated by her touching his curl.
isn't bothered by him being irritated.
Lukas
thinks 14 years ago
she should be.
leant back over the side and looked at the water. She wondered if Idun would get so moody when her curl was pulled now.
excited to test this theory out.
doesn't think that's a smart idea.
doesn't always (ever) make her decisions based on what the 'smart' option is.
knows that much about her but still hopes that maybe one day she will.
usually thinks her idea are good at the time…
Lukas
thinks 14 years ago
she needs to take more time and make smarter decisions.
Thora
thinks 14 years ago
that she takes plenty of time in making decisions.
doesn't think she does if she's not picking the smart answers.
finds her answers to be perfectly intelligent when she makes them… it's just afterwards that they may turn out badly.
Lukas
thinks 14 years ago
that exactly why she should take more time.
