does not love gravy. I prefer grits with tons of milk and sugar. That may qualify them as cream of wheat.

jealous. I love my grits with butter, salt, and bacon. If there isn't bacon, it's all about the sugar.
I was scared to go with the Quaker Quick Grits (something about "no self-respecting Southerner", comes to mind), but they were damn good.
my really Southern in-laws do the Quaker thing, so it must not be that big of a sin
