Hmm... paying attention? Remembering birthdays/anniversaries? Cooking? Taking out the garbage?
making dinner and cleaning up all the mess?
giving flowers for no reason
this question was on this weekend's *wait wait don't tell me*...
my first thought was "stroking his crotch"
I'll admit I was thinking along those lines at first
putting the toilet seat down
yeah well, i bet that's the answer
sending a phone cam picture with the boys down at the pub
brushing their teeth and showering? letting the girl have the tv remote?
putting the seat down or taking out the trash?
Guess the men in my life have never been romantic lol
Nope no romance for me either.
i think this is offensive on all kinds of levels lol, for both the men and the women involved.
oh noes! mako! but who is offending whom?
lol everyone is offending ME. just kidding. but i do think it's sad that this behavior is accepted by either party.
i mean come on, you shouldn't expect to get a prize if you listen to someone. nor should you reward that expectation, etc.
it's 2011, ffs. donna reed no longer and should no longer exist. take care of each other as equals, not as caveman and wife. jaysus.
sorry to rant in your plurk, flutter, but this shit really bugs and baffles me. romantic? putting the toilet seat down? seriously? sad.
you know you can always rant in my plurks, mako.
thanks flutter
my take on the toilet seat: said guy doesn't always remember to put it down. when he does, he's thinking fond thoughts of her as he does it.

the men's answers are absurd-that's not being romantic, that's being civilized. I get the women's answers - being appreciated is romantic.
and it is true that a lot of women don't feel listened to..
listen to her, cuddle her, ask a few questions, try a few non-sexual caresses... kiss her and then see where you get!
That's pretty pathetic on both sides. And yay mako and flutter. lol
