if now is a bad time to visit… She is knocking on the front door, but no one seems to be answering.
's goat nudges her leg before nibbling on her dress.
looks down at the goat curiously and pets it. "Where's Basch?" Not that she expected the goat to answer…
| The goat bleats at her before hopping towards the back yard.
blinks a couple of times before slowly following after it. She didn't really have anything better to do. "Where are you going, Jung… Uh…_
Random mountain named goat…" She couldn't remember the goat's names.
| The goat stopped to bleat at her angrily. He was Eiger! But he continued to lead her to where his sleeping master was.

the goat should be happy she kind of almost remembered one of their names; she wasn't used to weird German names for things! She followed
after him with a huff, wondering if maybe she should have gone back to her tent rather than chasing around goats in a strange country.
sleeping in the hay with Jungfrau and Monch laying next to him. He seemed peaceful, looking nothing like his normally angry self.
peeks in the barn cautiously, almost expecting to find guns pointed at her. She wasn't sure if she should enter or not. "Hello?" She walked
in, looking around worriedly until she saw the sleeping figure. She *knew* he slept with his goats!!
doesn't always! He was just napping.
tip toes closer to him. She couldn't help but smile; He looked so much nicer when he was asleep. She leant forward to try and pull a large
piece of hay from his hair that was bothering her.
mumbles something in his sleep when he felt the touch.
let's out a quiet cry and jumps back; What if he was grumpy when he woke up? She didn't really want to anger the Swiss man.

a bit red faced now. She caught him slacking. "...."
stutters uneasily. "Y- Your goat… pushed me…" She was tattling on a goat.
looks over to Jungfrau. She was always a troublemaker. "...O-Oh?" He winced at his voice.
didn't notice anything about his voice being strange, she was too busy trying to sit up and not look like she'd just been caught doing
something horrible. "I… You… There was something in your hair."
straightens himself up, trying to get his face back to normal. His expression hardened, but his cheeks still flared. "...My hair?" He asks_
, reaching up to try and get the object out.
glares at the goat that had pushed her. Jerk goat.
| The goat struts around with pride, seeming to take delight in her glare. _
plucks out the straw in his hair, blinking at it. "Ah...I wasn't expecting you today."
flushes darker, if possible. "I…" She starts to mumble sheepishly. "I went for a walk… and ended up here."
tilts his head a little at that. He felt a bit...happy at that? "Ah...well, welcome. Sorry I have nothing prepared for you."
shakes her head. "No! You don't need to prepare anything for me!" She starts to pick at her hair, realizing she had a few sprigs of hay
in it. Damn goat. "I just… thought I'd say… Hi?" That sounded like a really lame excuse. Way to go, Iceland.
reaches out to help her pluck hay from her hair. "Ah...Grüezi then."
sits painfully still as he plucks the hay from her hair. "Thanks…" She had no idea what 'Grüezi' meant, but she was too embarrassed with

nervously takes his hand and stands up. She was never randomly visiting anyone again if this was what happened.
does not seem bothered that she came, despite the embarrassment. "Sorry...about them."

awkwardly follows him in, hoping that she wasn't covered in dirt and hay now… though he still had a few pieces of hay on himself, so he
couldn't really complain about her messing his house up with it.

enters Liechtenstein's room, selecting a dress he believed would fit before returning and offering it out to her.
takes the dress and doesn't bother asking why he keeps girls' dresses in his house. "Thank you."
dresses sent to HIM quite often and it bothered him. But Liech naturally had things here. "The bathroom is the first door on the left."
scampered off to the bathroom. She felt weird changing clothes in someone else's house, especially changing in to someone else's clothes…_
though the dress did fit, albeit a bit snugly for her liking, though anything fitted was too snug for her liking. She folded her dirty
clothes up and walked back out slowly.
stares at her for a moment before looking away. "You look nice."
"Thanks…" She mumbles and stares at her feet. She wasn't particularly comfortable in this kind of dress… it made her feel girly.
takes the clothes and moves over to where the laundry room is located.

nods and fidgets with the skirt of the dress as she plotted against the goat.
moves over to the fridge and takes out some cooled cookies covered in chocolate. He places them on a plate, before pushing them over to her.
stares at the cookies… they looked so good… but she didn't want to look too needy… she had already taken one of his dresses.
would point out that it was Liechtenstein's if he could hear her. He did not mind feeding her so much, she did help out. "Feel free."
takes one. "Thank you…" She nibbled at it slowly. She wouldn't judge him even if he did like women's clothing, and baked well…

she would remember that he had a sister! "Is it good?"
remembers, she just doesn't know how close they are. She nods. "It's very good." He was an excellent baker.
seems content with the answer. He was always competing with Belgium over who had better chocolates. "Good."
nods and finishes her cooke. She hasn't had Belgian chocolate before… She tries to avoid anyone near the Netherlands.
offers her some milk now. Belgium was a nice girl, he just had an odd rivalry with her. He thinks Thora would get along with her.
takes the milk with a small smile. "Thank you." She is used to Belgium being a boy, and had a slight fear of female Netherlands, so she
didn't want anywhere *near* the male counterpart.
Basch

that might be a good thing. He liked young girls, or so he heard. He nods to her words and glances at the clock.
follows his glance. "What?"
looks back to her. "...It got late."
shakes his head. "It's fine." He pauses, thinking. "Would you like to stay?"
stares at the ground, trying not to freak out at the offer. His house was nice… and she was safe from the other Nordics here… "I don't want
to trouble you…" Or randomly find herself with a gun held to her because he decided she was annoying him.
sighs at that. She was beginning to say that a lot. "It's no trouble. I have a spare room you can use."
"Are you sure?" It would be nice… though she didn't want to be too much of a burden to him.
really been enjoying her presence. It felt good to not have the house so empty. He says hesitantly, "It would be nice, the company."
can't help but smile a bit and nod. "I'd like to stay then…" It was nice being around someone else; she didn't like being alone.
cracks a slight smile when she agrees. "Then I will get everything you need prepared."
nods. "I… Is there anything I can do to help?" She felt guilty doing nothing.

on this before speaking up. "After you get cleaned up, you can help me with dinner."
isn't sure how much of her help he would actually want with cooking, but she enjoyed cooking and didn't mind helping. "Okay."
wanted her to help so he could teach her. He moves to get her some sleep clothes. "You're welcome to the shower."
nods. "That would be nice."
nods in response. "I'll finish up the laundry while you do that then."
"Thank you." She felt extremely awkward showering in someone else's house, but her hair felt dirty, and it was nice to get clean.

his pajamas, and the blush on his face, are cute! "I like your pajamas."
goes red all the way to his ears. "Danke...My sister made them."
bites back a laugh and nods. "That's sweet."
would have glared if she laughed. "...I...Guess so. I just wonder why she puts all the frills on."
"I think it's cute." She did like the frills, even if it was a bit funny to see them on someone like Basch.
thought they made him look a bit too comical for his taste. "...Thanks. I gave you a pair to wear too." So she wasn't safe.
nods. She had seen that… she was wearing the dress again for a reason… that, and it felt weird to wear pajamas while walking around a house.

Thora

he should keep them on. "Ja." She nodded. "Thank you."

pasta might be easy... "How about pasta? Do you like that?"
nods. "That sounds fine."
now what kind? "Tomato or cheese sauce."
shrugs. She wasn't very picky. "Whatever you want."
go with cheese sauce then. He motions for her to come closer so he could direct her.
steps closer and watches him carefully.
gets out a pot for her. "Fill this with water." He was going to let her do most the work.
nods and carries the pot to the sink. "Your water is strange." It didn't smell like sulphur at all!
looks a little confused. "It's clean."
doesn't doubt that. "It smells differently than my water at home."
understands now. "Ah...well, I hear some places are different than others. In some places, they recommend drinking only bottled water."
nods. Norway's water was strange, too. She wondered if maybe it was just her water that smelled so strongly.
figures it has to do with the volcano. He moves over to turn the stove on and instructs her to place the pot on the burner.
follows his instructions, though it was hard to screw up a pot of water.

leans against the counter. "Have you found your sister yet?"
bites her lip and focuses on the pasta in the water. "No. I saw her once, but then she disappeared again without saying anything."
frowns a little, nodding. "She will come around soon."
nods, though she wasn't sure if she would, especially now that Soraya had disappeared as well.
so as well, though she isn't very optimistic. "Where is Liechtenstein?"

"Why not?" She frowned. She wished Norway bothered her more! She loved it when either of them visited her, even if she acted otherwise.
tilts his head. "She probably needs some alone time."
nods and stirs the pasta a bit.
gets out a drainer and motions for her to take the pot over when it is done. "Pour it here."
nods and grabs the handle with both hands carefully. This was her least favorite part. She was very cautious with pouring it in with shaky

moves to gather the ingredients for the sauce. When she was ready, he begins to instruct her on how to make it.

raises an eyebrow. "You're a picky eater, aren't you?"
nods. "I am...a little." He dealt with eating cheaper foods.

quirks a brow at her before starting on the dishes. "This reminds me. I ran into your counterpart the other day..."
shakes his head. "I gave him pants."
"Oh…" She looks down sheepishly. "That's nice of you."
felt like he had to do something. "I had some that didn't fit anymore. I sent him back with dresses for you. Did you get them?"
shakes her head. "We haven't seen one another much lately…"
finishes up the dishes and turns to her. "You can keep the dress you are wearing then."
shakes her head, feeling guilty. "You don't have to give me dresses."
sort of adopted her. "It's fine. It's one of Liechtenstein's old ones."
torn between her pride that dictated she shouldn't accept any charity, and happy that he was trying to help her. "Thank you."

nods awkwardly. She hoped that Liechtenstein showed up soon so that she could meet her; She sounded nice.

frowns. "You have bed hair."
nods. "From rolling around."
doesn't believe him. She rolls her eyes and sips at her milk.
Basch

that she has good intuition, but he'd rather lie so she didn't feel as bad.
curious. "Do you sleep with your gun?"
nods. He kept one near by, yes.
cringes a bit at that. "Ah." It wasn't surprising.
sips his milk. "And you sleep with your sheep?"
"Not usually." She shook her head. "Only sometimes when it's cold, or I get lonely." She said, though after she said it she realized how_
wrong it could be taken; not to mention she had admitted that she got lonely! She sipped her milk. Maybe he hadn't heard it.
she isn't lonely now, even if the night had been full of awkward. "They are good company."
far from lonely right now. On top of having him she had enough awkward moments in one night to justify avoiding society for at least a_
would come to visit still.
would appreciate the visits… "They are good company. Much better than people often times."
nods to that. "I can agree to that. Goats are just as well."
"Your goats seem very…" She pauses, unsure of the right word. She didn't want to insult him, or the goats. "Mischievous."
leans back in his chair. "Just Jungfrau."
"Ah." She nodded. That must have been the one that pushed her on to him…
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
her memory is good. "Eiger is the boss and is the most intelligent. Monch is the calmest."
nods. Monch will be her favorite now. Granted she'll forget his name and won't be able to distinguish which one he is… but he'll be her_
Eiger the most. He glances to his clock when the cuckoo alarm caught his attention.
followed his glance. It wasn't that late.
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
eleven is rather late for him.
Thora
thinks 14 years ago
eleven is early… late would be 3 or 4am. "It's only 11?"
nods. "I usually am asleep by ten."
stares at him. "10? At night?"
nods again. "Ja. I wake up early."
drinks her milk. "When do you wake up?"
nibbles on another cookie before answering. "About five am."
often stayed up until that time, but rarely wakes up then. "Why?!
blinks. "It's quiet. I can get the morning chores done before the sun rises and it gets hot."
"Does it get very hot in the winter time here?"
shakes his head. "Nein, I just hold habits from summer."
curiously, "What would you do if the sun never set and it was hot all day and night?"
cringes at the thought. "That sounds hard. I suppose I would manage as best I could though."
nods. "During the summer there are parts of my island where the sun never sets."
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
that sounds unfortunate. "Do you enjoy that?"
nods. "It's much nicer than the winter when it rarely gets light out."
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
that sounds too cold. "The north sounds complicated."
liked it. It was actually quite warm there due to the ocean air. "It's not that bad. In the summer it's always sunny, in the winter it's_
his mountain air. "I will have to see that."
some of the best air in the world! (so long as a volcano wasn't erupting. Then it kind of sucked.) "It's beautiful! At night in the winter_
you can see the Northern Lights."
heard of those. He had always wanted to see them. "That sounds amazing."
nods. "You should come see it some time… Though you'd have to stay up late for it."
doesn't mind every once in a while. "Ja, I will have to take you up on that offer."
smiled over her cup. "Good… They say that Iceland has one of the best views of it in the world."
have to look more into this. "I'll take your word."
"My sister and I used to go skinny dipping in the geothermal pools in volcanoes in the middle of winter and watch the lights. It's an_
amazing experience. You should try it!"
thoroughly embarrassed now. He did not want to think of her and FemNorge skinny dipping and he certainly held no desire to do it himself! _
didn't think FemNorge would ever agree to it. She did it with Denmark! She was amused by his embarrassment. "It's not that bad, and they're_
almost completely secluded."
thought she hated Denmark? "...It sounds embarrassing. I would prefer to keep my clothes on." He was red to his ears.
male Denmark. She loved Female Denmark. "Why does it sound embarrassing? You shower naked, don't you?"
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
that sounds confusing. How were they different? "I guess, but you said you do it with other people."
"So? What's wrong with being naked around other people?" She looked at him curiously. She had heard that people from mainland Europe and_
America were more prudish, but she was always amused to see it in person.
probably one of the more prude nations. "Lot's of things." he left it at that. He had no real solid reasons.
"Why? There's nothing sexual about it. There is no better feeling than swimming in a hot lake, then jumping out and feeling the freezing_
Basch

if that is a true statement. The warmth sounded nice, but not the cold. "You sound like you are trying to convince me to try it." He _
shrugs. "I wouldn't force you to. But it wouldn't hurt you to try it."
shakes his head. "I would rather not. If what you say is true, company would be best." He was using it as an excuse not to go.
crosses his arms. "I would be alone."
stares at her. "...Because I am not taking you with me." It would require male company! This is how he planned to win.
"… Why not?" It wasn't that she had wanted to do it, though it was amusing how adamantly he was against it.
getting a bit frustrated. "Because, that really would not be appropriate."
narrows his eyes a bit, leaning in close. "And what would you do if I actually agreed? Stop teasing me."
"If you agreed I would take you skinny dipping and think nothing of it." She shrugged, leaning back in her chair.
pulls back with a huff. "I refuse even so."
"Are you embarrassed about being nude in front of others?"
looks away from her. "In front of women, there is a difference." He had shared a bath house with men before.
"It's only different if you make it different."
shrugs. "Then I am making it different."
's eye twitches a bit. "As I have said, it is just not proper."
amused at the twitching. "What's proper then?"
not amused. "Men and Women who aren't lovers should not bath together. Simple as that."
huffs. "I guess then that--- ..........."
"If I said I was gay would you go swimming with me naked?"
stares at her. "Nein. Even if you are, I'm not."
rolled her eyes. "Of course you're not."
| "So your point makes no sense." He wondered if she really was gay.
"I don't see the big deal in going swimming with the opposite gender. You're under water, and it's not as though you're going to be_
*looking* at their body."
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
this is both frustrating and embarrassing. Certainly not a topic he was expecting to have at midnight. "You are pushing rather hard. I _
thought after tonight you would never look at me again, after the shower incident. Now you want me to lose the towel?"
flushes. "It's not like I was checking you out!"
does not feel as cornered. "If it would get you off my back about it, I would go shirtless now."
"Why would I want you shirtless now?! That would be stupid!" Why was he offering that?! She didn't need to see him without a shirt on_
anymore than she already had!
just teasing her now. He felt a bit better. He looks over to her, quirking a brow. His lips twitched up ever so slightly into something of_
frowns darkly. "I highly doubt Liechtenstein would appreciate you galavanting around shirtless in front of strange women."
shakes his head. "If you caught on quicker, you would have realized I was teasing you."
doesn't find his teasing to be amusing… at all.
didn't find her gay comment very amusing either.
doubts he is gay; she assumed that he and Liechtenstein were some sort of couple.
not in a relationship with his sister. Did they look that way from the outside?
hadn't seen him with his sister; but she always assumed that the ones in her world were dating… and so she assumed that they were, too.
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
if they were dating, Mitzi would not be with Lukas right now. They were too fiercely loyal to leave someone they pledge to for another.
Thora
thinks 14 years ago
that they could have broken up a while ago and Mitzi moved on…
certain their relationship was nothing like that. At least, his was nothing like that with his Liechtenstein. "Why bring up Liechtenstein?"
shrugs. "I always thought that you and Liechtenstein were… together." She wasn't sure what the right term for it was.
stares at her with the most incredulous expression. "...I have never been with my sister."
"Really?" She is obviously surprised by that answer. "Ever?"
slightly annoyed. Is that what everyone thought? "Never."
slightly relieved by that for some reason. "Oh."
Basch
wonders 14 years ago
who else thinks that? "We are close, but we're nothing but siblings."
"Ah."She nods and finishes her milk, wondering if she should have said nothing about it.
collects her glass and cleans up the mess. "...If you have anything else you want to ask?"
frowns and tries to think, not wanting to get up from the chair. "Is there anything you want to ask?"
to think about this. "Well," He starts. "Are you actually gay or were you simply stating that?"
"Would it matter if I was?" She asks him serious. She was pretty sure she wasn't, but she'd never really thought much about it before.
shakes his head. "Nein," Though it would explain her hatred of Denmark better.
"I don't think I like women," She said with a shrug. "Though I don't think I've ever liked much of anyone before. Not in that way at least."
nods a little in understanding. The closest he had ever been to a relationship probably had been with Austria, although...that didn't last._
"I guess you have room to grow then. Someone will come along and you'll know."
"I doubt it." She wasn't pessimistic, just realistic. "Romantic relationships are too fleeting." She'd rather not let her emotions develop_
too deeply on something that could change like the wind one day.
nods slowly. "I avoided that path. I guess others saw more use for it though."
"Something like that." She scoffed.
frowns a bit as he thought of Austria. The man had married too much.
watches him frown. "What's wrong?"
shakes his head. "Nothing."
nods. "Just thought of the past again."
nods and is silent for a moment. "What about it?"
looks a bit surprised. "Just thinking of someone I grew apart from."
"Oh." She nodded quietly. "I'm sorry."
shakes his head. "For the best, probably."
"Are you sure?" She didn't like growing apart from people.
stands up and awkwardly hugs him. "I'm sorry." Though she had to wonder, does that mean he actually was gay?
not gay, necessarily. He is... attracted to people by their personality more so. "Don't be, he is frustrating."
pulls back and huffs. See if she tries to comfort him again! "Fine."
reaches out to pat her on the head. "You're a good girl."
furrows her brows and almost goes cross-eyed as she looks at his hand on her head. "I'm not an animal."
pulls his hand back. Maybe he just wanted an excuse to touch her hair. It was a pretty color. "I am not good at praising people."
"Oh…" She understood that. She usually avoided doing it… She didn't mind him touching her hair, just… not with the type of praise you gave_
would feel awkward asking to touch it.
would feel extremely awkward if he asked…
Basch

why things were suddenly so much more awkward now.
oblivious to the awkward feeling and reaches up to pat his hair. "You're a good boy."
continues to pet his hair for a minute before pulling her hand back and looking at him blankly.
Basch
wonders 14 years ago
what that was about? "Satisfied?"
just returning the favor. But when he asked that she reached back up and resumed petting him. "I'm not sure which is softer, your hair,_
not sure whether or not to be flattered. "Well Danke." He was getting goosebumps. It felt nice.
pulls her hand back and smirked. "I think the goats win… But not Jungfrau…"
a little proud. He took better care of his goats than his hair. He just used soap in it. "...You dislike her?"
Thora
thinks 14 years ago
he should take better care of his hair… "She pushed me on to you…" She was not above holding a grudge on a goat.
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
it's not important. "She was playing."
"I know…" She was just embarrassed by it, and hated being embarrassed.
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
they are suffering a lot of it. She should just think of him near naked and forgive the goat.
didn't realize he wanted her to think of him nearly naked. If that's what he wishes for, he should ask her straight out. "I can't even_
remember which one is which; It's not like I can stay mad at a goat when I don't remember which one it is."
doesn't want her to. But he'd rather her not have a grudge against her goats. "...Well, I suppose so."
probably forget all about it in the morning, and she likes animal's more than people… so the goat was pretty safe. "I like your goats… even_
if that one's mischievous… Maybe she and I can become friends and work together to pick on you."
grunts a bit, making a face. "You would, wouldn't you?"
grins a bit. So long as he didn't have his gun. But if she was with the goat she'd feel a bit safer; He'd never shoot his goats!
would never hurt his goats. "Brat." he was teasing her now.
"Tch," she scoffed, but still had a small smile. "I'm not a brat."
moves to finish the dishes. "Just a little."
leans against the counter and watches him with an amused scowl.
looks up at the clock. "It is late..."
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
she's a night owl. "You have bad sleeping habits."
shrugs. Having 24 hours of lightness for half of the year would do that to a person. "They could be worse."
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
this is true. "Still, it would be better to have a schedule."
scoffs. "I have a schedule…"
quirks a brow. "Which is?"
"I sleep when I'm tired, and I wake up at some point when I want to." Which was usually before 10am, but there was no reason to share that.
visit bright and early from now on.
make her go hiking with him now that it's spring.
would enjoy that! Especially if it was a late night hike in the moonlight!
come in the early morning when the moon is up. How's that?
probably still be awake then, so it works!
does not think that works at all.
Thora
thinks 14 years ago
it works fine~
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
she will be too tired to hike the rest of the day.
never had a problem climbing mountains before… She thinks that she's in fairly decent shape.
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
that she gets sick so much because she doesn't get enough sleep.
Thora
thinks 14 years ago
that she gets sick because her country has a lot of issues and it has little to do with her sleeping schedule.
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
it doesn't help.
doesn't think the two issues are related at all and he shouldn't treat her like a small child that needs a bed time!
to sleep too. It's not just her.
sleeping, but that doesn't mean she needs an enforced bedtime.
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
it's better to get a good nights sleep when one will be busy the next day/
usually starts her days later than he does, so getting to bed later isn't that big of an issue.
Basch
thinks 14 years ago
that might be true enough.
