calls Lukas. She hadn't talked to him in a while and wanted to make sure he hadn't died or gone crazy.
hears his phone and pauses before answering. "Hello?"
paused. "Hello, Lukas? This is Thora."
pauses. "Okay. I guess..."
"I don't know... I've been not feeling well. Maybe I'm sick."
"Oh…" She'll bring him some soup and cod liver oil.
"I think Mitzi is staying at my house.... but I don't know... I just keep getting confused."
"Oh… *her*…" She tried not to sound too upset. She felt a bit upset at the idea of her leading Lukas on… "Are you alright? I can bring you_
isn't being lead on. "That sounds good, actually..."
Thora
thinks 14 years ago
that if she is confusing him it isn't a good sign. "I'll come by as soon as I can then."
hung up the phone without saying goodbye and hurriedly gathered supplies for soup. She glanced idly at the clock in her living room and_
debated whether or not to take it with her. She didn't want to leave it alone, but decided it would be safe and rushed out the door to run_
waits patiently for her, not expecting her to be there soon.
knocks on his door loudly. She may have rushed there… but she would play it off like she had nothing else to do and was in the area anyway.
blinks at the door, surprised. He walks over and opens it. "Hei..."
frowns. "Are you going to let me in?" She was tempted to feel his forehead but ignored the impulse thanks to the bags in her arms.
blinks quickly before stepping aside. "Ja..."
walks past him and goes straight to the kitchen to start the soup.
nothing to him as she pulls out knives and pots to cook with.
sits at the table and watches.
waits until everything is cooking before getting herself a glass of milk and sitting at the table.
doesn't notice but does keep watching.
frowns. "How are things with Mitzi?"
glances at the table. "I... don't know."
's frown deepens. "Why not?"
shrugs. "I haven't talked to her in a while."
doesn't like the sound of that, but nods. "Switzerland likes solitude and isolation… She's probably avoiding everyone to stay sane… or_
something." She grumbled and stood up to stir the soup. She didn't like Mitzi, but she didn't want to trash talk Switzerland. It was a hard_
spot and she didn't like it, so she focused on cooking instead.
nods and sighs a little. "I can understand..."
"You miss her… Don't you?" She asked with more venom than intended. It came out sounding more like an accusation than a question.
glances at her. "Yes, I do. I also missed you and my brother, too."
doesn't feel very comforted by that, but shrugs it off. "She probably misses you, too." unfortunately.
pauses before nodding. "I suppose..."
continues to focus on the soup. He obviously wasn't dying, so she didn't need to fawn over him like a frantic mother goose.
wouldn't mind if she did, though.
"Søren visited me a while ago…" She said, trying to make conversation. "I think he's insane. You should keep a better eye on him."
nods. "I wouldn't doubt it...."
returns to her glass. "I think he's suicidal… Or extremely masochistic." or both.
sighs. "He's just an idiot..."
nods. She wouldn't argue that.
stares at the table. "Such a stupid idiot..."
looks at him, wondering why he was staring at the table like that. "He was tolerable after a while."
glances at her. "Then why did you stab him?"
frowns and huffs, "I stabbed him before he visited! Then he visited and stabbed himself and bled ALL OVER my house and practically passed_
out from blood loss! AND THEN! After I *kindly* nursed him back to health, he had the audacity to walk in on me while I was bathing!!!" She_
shrieked, turning red in the face. She took a few breaths to calm herself. "But after that he was sort of nice… for Denmark."
stares at her for a long time. "That's it, he's a dead idiot now."
"He stabbed himself and walked in on you."
shrugs and goes back to the soup. "I'm pretty sure he is still fully alive."
nods. "But he won't be for much longer."
scowls. "You can't–" She stopped herself. Was she about to defend Denmark? To Norway? What was the world coming to? "He's not worth the_
sighs. "He's an idiot..."
"Are you just realizing this?"
shakes his head a little.
nods and turns down the temperature on the soup to let it stew for a while.
keeps staring at the table.
pauses. "Have you seen your counterpart lately?" She was hopeful, but didn't expect him to say yes.
pauses before shaking his head a little.
chides, "I can stop talking if you'd like complete silence." If he wasn't going to say anything she wouldn't bother trying to make_
shakes his head again. "Nei, I like hearing you talk."
tilts his head. "What's wrong?"
shakes her head. She wasn't going to talk just for his benefit.
grabs a bowl and fills it with soup for Lukas. She set it on the table in front of him with a spoon. "Eat."
rolls his eyes and starts to eat.
huffs and sits back down in her seat while watching him. "You're welcome."
tilts back on her chair and balances precariously on the back legs.
rolls her eyes and sits the chair back down.
smiles faintly and eats some more soup.
stands up and starts snooping around the kitchen. "So… I guess… Mitzi might not be a horrible person."
raises an eyebrow. "And why do you come to this conclusion?"
shrugs. She doesn't have to answer that question.
would like it if she did....
would need more pestering before she admitted to anything.
knows that and may already be planning his course of action.
doesn't like the idea of him 'planning a course of action' against her.
doesn't like her keeping secrets.
isn't keeping secrets… She opens the fridge and pulls out the milk, giving up her snooping quest. Norway was pretty boring.
doesn't think he has any deep dark secrets… at least in the kitchen… She poured the milk in her cup. "Want some?"
doesn't. He shakes his head. "No thanks."
sits back down and drinks the milk silently.
blinks. "What do you mean, what?"
shrugs and goes back to eating.
looks at the table and sips quietly.
watches her while he eats.
ignores him and traces her finger over the table, making abstract shapes.
finishes his soup, still watching.
looks up at him with a scowl.
scoffs and grabs his bowl. "Are you done?"
nods and keeps a hold on it. "I can wash it..."
shakes her head and carries it to the sink.
frowns as he watches. "I could have..."
shrugs. "Doesn't matter."
sighs and looks at the table.
washes the dish, then searches for something to store the rest of the soup in.
points to a cabinet with storage boxes.
opens it and pulls out a large container. She set it in the sink in case she spilled and grabbed the heavy pot from the stove. Her hands_
shook from the weight as she tried to carry it towards the sink.
frowns and hops up. "Let me do that."
frowns at him. She could handle something as simple as a heavy pot…
probably needs his help… but she doesn't want to ask for it.
decides to step in and take it.
scowls, but lets him take it.
takes the pot and pours the rest of the soup into the container for her.
huffs, "I could have done that."
glances over at her. "I know, but I wanted to."
grabs the lid and puts it on the container. She carried it and put it in to the fridge for him to eat later.
smiles as he cleans the pot. "Takk."
shrugs. "Whatever. My counterpart wouldn't be happy if you died."
raises an eyebrow. "I'm not dying."
finishes washing the pot and turns to look at her.
hands her cup to him to wash. Now that he had eaten and was obviously alive she could go home.
takes her cup and washes it, hoping she would stay longer.
leans against the counter and pulls out a small bag of chocolates from her pocket to eat.
watches her. "I thought you said you don't like sweets?"
shrugs. "I don't… much…" They were kind of addictive though.
nods a little before pausing to look at it again. "Is that Swiss chocolate?"
ignores him and eats her chocolate. There was nothing wrong with having Swiss chocolate! A lot of people ate it!
tries to keep ignoring but fails. "What's wrong with Swiss chocolate?"
narrows her eyes at him. Did he have something against her eating Swiss chocolate?
doesn't. He just wonders why she's eating it.
doesn't see why she shouldn't be eating it. "I happen to like eating Swiss chocolate." She huffed defensively.
glares at him more. Why the hell was he smirking at her? It was chocolate. "What?!"
shakes his head. "Nothing."
"Why are you smirking?" It annoyed her.
"I already said, no reason."
huffs, "Fine. I'm going home then."
closes the bag and stuffs it in her pocket as she walks towards the door. This was the thanks she gets for coming and making him soup!
wasn't trying to be mean.
doesn't like it when he smirks at her and asks stupid questions!
doesn't think it's mean, though...
doesn't think it is nice either. "I hope you liked the soup." She grumbles as she pulls her mittens out of her pockets. She knew she_
should have left the chocolate at home.
walks after her. "Takk. It was very good."
grumbles under her breath and pulls her mittens on. He wasn't even going to ask her to stay! "Sure."
"You could stay.. if you want."
huffs, "So you can smirk more at me for eating Swiss chocolate?"
shakes his head. "I'm sorry I did that."
rolls her eyes. "No you're not."
"Because I didn't mean to upset you."
scoffs, but pulls off the mittens and throws herself on to his couch.
"What have you been doing?"
starts eating the chocolate again. "Living, breathing, eating occasionally…"
makes a faint laughing sound.
raises an eyebrow. "You should laugh more." He probably laughed for Mitzi all the time.
doesn't laugh any more for her. He raises an eyebrow. "Really?"
nods a little. He'd think about it...
grumbles, "I'm sure Mitzi would like to hear you laugh more…"
tilts his head a little. "Ja?"
nods, but says nothing more. The last thing she wanted to do was encourage his relationship with her… but she guessed she didn't hate_
shrugs. "My counterpart probably would."
takes that to meant that she would. "Ja..."
would. Why else would she have suggested he should do it in the first place?! She finished the chocolate in her bag and stuffed it in to_
"Why are you eating chocolate, anyways?"
"Why wouldn't I eat chocolate?" … Other than the fact that she didn't usually like sweets and couldn't even remember the last time she had_
willingly purchased chocolate…
shrugs. "You don't seem the type."
scoffs, "Maybe I'm just picky about the kinds I like."
"And you just so happen to like Swiss chocolate?"
refuses to blush over something so stupid. "Why do you care what kind of chocolate I like?"
hums faintly. "Maybe I'd want to get you some."
"I don't need more chocolate." She scoffed; and it wouldn't be the same as Basch's chocolate.
"I've already got more than enough chocolate from B– Switzerland."
stares. "He gave you some chocolate?"
not blush. She refuses to blush. "So what if he did?" She hissed darkly. She blushed. Dammit.
glares at him. She probably shouldn't mention staying the night at his house…
wouldn't be too happy about it....
won't mention anything to him…
still wishes that she would, though. "Are the two of you friends?"
doesn't think he needs to hear about it. "I guess you could call us friends." She shrugs. It felt weird to say she was friends with someone.
"What would you call the two of you, then?"
shrugs. She wouldn't really have called them anything. Two people that knew one another maybe.
shrugs. "Just wondering."
"He seems nice." She shrugged and pulled off her jacket.
nods. "Is that why you've changed your mind about his counterpart?"
scowls. "So what if it was?"
shrugs. "Just wondering."
huffs, "I still don't like her."
raises an eyebrow. "Why not?"
doesn't answer. She highly doubts the trigger happy woman is anywhere near good enough for Norway.
doesn't think anyone would meet Thora's standards for him.
doesn't think they would either.
sighs. "She's really very nice."
frowns, "I'm sure she is. Basch is very… nice. So unfortunately his counterpart probably is, too."
shrugs. She preferred thinking of Mitzi as a horrible brother-stealing monster.
didn't think she should...
"I never knew how nice the Swiss could be. Though I think your Switzerland is nicer than mine." She liked this thought; It meant Mitzi was_
still mean, and insane with a gun.
raises an eyebrow. "Really now?"
doesn't think it takes much to be nicer than Mitzi, so that's not actually saying a lot. "He gave me a ribbon for my hair, and made me an_
awesome clock thing that makes noise!"
nods. "That's really nice. Mitzi knitted a hat for me."
knit him a better hat… "The fondu there is good, too," she wanted to try and figure out how to make it herself. "But do all Swiss people go_
to bed and wake up so early? It's no wonder Mitzi is so grumpy all the time."
sighs. "She's not grumpy..."
rolls her eyes. Mitzi seemed grumpy, and scary. Basch was sweet, and cute!
knows she's getting them mixed up.
not getting them mixed up at all… "So… Does Mitzi sleep with her gun?" She was kind of curious if both of them did, and there was no_
delicate way of asking it.
"I wouldn't know. I assume not."
nods. Maybe Basch was a little bit crazy then…
knows that Basch must be.
doesn't think that he is *that* bad. Basch seemed much more sane than Mitzi. So he slept with a gun… Denmark slept with an axe.
doesn't even want to know what that idiot's slept with over the years.
won't tell him that he could add her to the list… "You wouldn't know? I thought she was staying at your house…"
nods. "I... I think she was..."
sighs. "I don't know... I didn't see her in my house at all."
nods. That made her feel a bit better. She didn't like the idea of Lukas and Mitzi sleeping in the same house.
doesn't think he has but might be mistaken.
Thora
wonders 14 years ago
if this happens frequently to him… It is mildly upsetting and worrying. What if he killed someone and forgot?
isn't used to this at all and it's kind of freaking him out, not that he's giving any sign of it.
"That's good. You shouldn't let strange women sleep in your house."
sighs. "She isn't a strange woman."
won't change her opinion of her. Mitzi was strange. "You're biased."
"I think I'm neutral enough about stuff like this."
doesn't think he is. "I still think she's strange."
looks around the room lazily. Now that the Swiss discussion had happened she wasn't sure what else to say.
one of the first things that could come to mind. "I never expected Basch to wear frilly pink pajamas..."
stares at her before making another small laughing noise.
"I would have laughed, too... but he sleeps with a gun and I didn't want him to shoot me in the middle of the night."
keeps staring at her. "And how do you know all of this?"
pulls at a string on her jacket and shrugs.
"So I stayed the night at his place. It's not like I had anywhere else to go to get away from my counterpart. He and his goats are very_
welcoming... Except Jungfrau. She is annoying."
"You could have stayed with me."
frowns at him. That wasn't even an option. "No I couldn't." She would have had to deal with seeing Switzerland and her counterpart.
shook her head. She was just trying to distance herself from him now that her counterpart was back.
*her* Norway and Denmark back. She didn't want to steal the Iceland of this world's family.
can be her family as well and wants to be.
doesn't think the other Iceland would share that sentiment. She surely wouldn't want to share her Norway with anyone.
doesn't care if he shares it.
doesn't want to become dependent or attached to him. Everyone she was close to had disappeared... she preferred to be alone now.
wasn't going away anytime soon.
doesn't believe that. She hadn't thought her Norway would go anywhere either, but look at where that led her!
knows he isn't going anywhere.
Lukas
thinks 14 years ago
she should.
Lukas
thinks 14 years ago
she shouldn't keep her distance in that time.
take that into consideration. She may visit him more now that she's not as afraid of male Denmark.
would really like that...
might do that then... if she feels like it.
go home now that they've had their pseudo-sibling bonding time.
enjoyed their pseudo sibling bonding.
didn't hate it. "I left some cod liver oil on the counter. You should have a spoonful with breakfast every morning."
already had some and did take it every morning but he would refrain from saying so. "Takk."
Thora
thinks 14 years ago
he should be taking more since he obviously not well.
Lukas
thinks 14 years ago
he's fine...
agree to disagree, despite the fact that he is wrong. "Bye." She zips her coat up and shuffles out the door.
doesn't wave back. She had already said 'bye' and her hands were in her pockets.
