sort of takes interest-- it seems a tad fun. But he is going to watch somewhere far off so he does not draw attention to himself.
kicks it some more. Tries to see how many times he can kick it before it falls. "...1...2...3...4...5"
easily able to assume the goal of the game, stepping out from whatever he happened to be hiding from-- use your own damn imagination-- and
crosses his arms. This is all by chance.
"...6..." tries to get it again but misses. "Aw man..." Positions himself to toss it up again with his feet. See someone else. "Oh! Hoi. Did
you want to play?" he asks kindly.
blinks, glancing off somewhere. Well, it seems that he is being spoken to. And, well, this person almost seemed like a girl-- luckily he
opened his mouth or he would have thought otherwise. "Who are you?" he asks, first, not wanting to take any dumb risks.
blinks at this question as he was expecting an answer. "I'm Aloys, Aloys Vogel...And you?" He asks in return, not wanting to be rude.
not sure if this person is a country or just a person-- but, he is not going to be stupid. The person resembles people he
knows. But, right, Switzerland is already dude-- so this cannot really be a country. "I am..." he pauses, preferring to keep his name to
himself. "Iceland," he finally finishes, deciding if he needs to attack the guy he may have to bring himself to throw a pine cone at him.
isn't sure what to think about that. Wasn't that familiar with the Iceland of his world. Stares for a moment. "Oh, so you're a country too
. I'm Liechtenstein." How funny the places he met other nations.
now going to assume this person is the 'other' Liechtenstein. Because, well, he knew better. "What are you playing with?"
looks down at his footbag. "It's a hackey sack, you just try to keep it in the air without using your hands. Did you want to try?"
for a moment. Well, nothing about the situation seems threatening. It is then he nods. "Alright."
reaches down to pick up the hackey sack and tosses it over. "You can drop it from the air or toss it up with your feet."
reaches out to catch it, only to miss the hackey sack. He then bends his knees to pick it up, nearly wobbly before he straightens
up. "Alright," he repeats, staring at the hackey sack from all sides. He then drops it, moving his leg, but only to miss once again.
Aloys
wonders 14 years ago
if he misses saying something when he explained it. "U-um that's okay! Everyone misses on their first try!" Isn't so sure that's true.
huffs. He is not really the athletic sort-- and the Olympics are unfair, seeing the Americas have so many damn people competing. But that
a tangent. He picks up the hackey sack in the same awkward manner as before, only to attempt to try to kick it again. It fails. And this is
going to go on for six or so more times.
watches this, really unsure of what the problem is. He does his best not to crack a smile or laugh at how silly that looks. Didn't know
hackey sack took that much skill but feels better about himself since he's alright at it, at least in comparison. "Good try, I think you're
going pink in the face. He picks up the hackey sack one last time, only to keep hold of it. "Don't kid yourself," he says, handing it back
accepts it back and smiles sheepishly. "Well, it's no big deal, just a game. If you'd prefer, we could play something... Wow," he laughs
"That sounded really childish. Nevermind." He is now amused with himself.
looks away, stiffly crossing his arms over. He probably looked like a real dumbass. "We can play something else."
smiles wider, glad the other boy didn't laugh at him for sounding like a kid, "Really? Alright, what do you like to play?"
supposes he was not a kid too long ago. Though he will never admit that. "I don't know. I don't have people to play with that much," he
can relate to that problem. "Me either..." Tries to think of something to do.
also thinks. "Well, what sort of things do you like to do?"
"When I go outside, I usually play football or I just walk around and see what's there."
supposes they should do something out door related. "...Not much." For the moment, he does not want to give too much away. "Fishing."
"fishing? That sounds fun... I don't have a pole though..."
hesitates, eyes going down to the ground and then...to some tree that is somewhere. "If you come visit me, someday, we can do that."
smiles again. "When should I come?"
somewhat surprised he is so interested. Iceland is not the most exciting thing on the face of the planet. "Whenever. But we still need to
think of what to do right now. I can only suppose you don't magically carry around playing cards on you."
frowns and nods. "Nope... well we could get some? There's a convenience store right over there." He points toward the small store.
nods as well, only then to pause. "Though I do not have your sort of money on me right now."
waves it off. "Don't worry, I'll buy them. Let's go~" he begins to lead the way over.
follows behind him, keeping his arms crossed. "I'll pay you back..." When he pays Russia, China, England-- okay, maybe not him--,
Netherlands, and whoever else back.
"It's no problem, you don't need to pay me back." Has a very low amount of national debts or other monetary problems.
used to be at that level. "Are you sure you're even allowed to talk to me?"
stops. "...You mean... would the Switzerlands be mad at me for doing so?"
stops as well, nearly bumping into him. "Sort of, yeah. I mean-- I wouldn't let anything happen to you." Because he likes being in one
frowns and looks at the ground. "I guess they won't be very happy if they find out..." Looks up at Eyvindur, "I would understand if you'd-
-rather not hang out with me... I can't promise they won't get mad at you too."
sighs, walking around Liechtenstein to look at him. "You're not a little kid, are you? So you should have freedom once in a while."
fidgets and looks off to the side. "Well... that's true," he agreed. "It's just really hard for me to say no to them. They've done so much."
steps closer to him, bringing a hand up to his own face. It is embarrassing, but he speaks again. "I am a little brother, too."
turns to face Iceland. "And your brother or sister doesn't mind who you talk to?"
shrugs slightly. "He questions me. But he is doing things--" he pauses, biting back something that would be mentally destroying to say. "And
so we just go out our own business...Besides...He likes the other Iceland, more."
curious about what that pause was about. "I'm sure that's not true, the other Iceland is probably just new..." Thinks over the situation.
shakes his head, "It's pretty true. And, you know, your sister is friends with my...'brother'." He cringes, not having any taste for the
word. "So, if they can talk to other people, we should be allowed to talk to other people."
doesn't know how to respond to that. "I'm not sure they always understand that. You're right though." Still isn't likely to be the one to
bring it up to either Switzerland. "I'm still up for cards if you are."
huffs. He is never the one to really fight, really... "If it comes down to the worst, I will talk to Switzerland, alright?"
a concerned look, "Don't do anything hasty, they might not give you much time to talk, I wouldn't want you getting hurt because of me!"
waves a hand in dismissal. "Don't make it all dramatic," he says. "You're making it sound that you're having a hidden affair."
opens his mouth to say something and then closes it for a moment to think. "You're right..." he nods. "Got a little carried away there."
crosses his arms again. "Nevermind that. If there is a problem, it will come when it comes. Let's just get the cards."
silly now. "Right." Is no longer the one in front, so waits for Iceland.
steps out of the way. He is not much of a leader. "Hn...Don't tell anyone what I told you."
replies, simply, "All of it."
blinks but starts back off toward the store. "Alright, if that's what you want."
sure he did not stutter. He does not say anything, merely following along.
walks on through the automatic door. "Hmm I wonder where they'd have cards..."
walks ahead of him, already wandering down a short aisle on his own.
calls out, "Do you see any?"
picks up a plain looking pack, walking to the center of the store-- not bothering to shout.
sees Iceland's movement and follows him. "Oh, you did! Cool."
stops, turning to him to give him the deck. He is not the one who is about to pay.
takes the deck and smiles. "Alright, I'd like to buy this," he says as he hands it to the clerk and proceeds with the check out.
stands a bit away from Liechtenstein-- it being that moment where he pretends he is his own person staring at cheap magazines.
"Thank you" to the clerk and turns back toward Iceland. "I saw some benches out there, should we play there?"
returns to the world of the so-called living, nodding slowly as he begins to exit the store. "That is fine."
nods and heads on over to one of those benches. "Did you have a game in mind?"
sits on the opposite side of the bench, thinking for a moment. "Maybe Olsen Olsen. Anything you have?"
shakes his head. "You'll have to teach me that one, though."
did not think he would know that game. "...Go Fish?"
nods slightly. "We can do that."
opens up the cards and starts shuffling. "Cool, I'll deal."
just going to nod again, watching the other shuffle.
passes out the appropriate amount of cards. "Whenever you're ready."
( crap, I am sorry-- I did not get an alert. D| )
looks at his hand, brow furrowed as he arranges his cards. "Alright."
arranges his cards in his hand. Nods seriously. "Do you have any threes?"
( FJAFJFJJEKDKDKDK /KILLS PLURK FOREVER?!?!?!? )
shakes his head before muttering, "Go fish."
draws one from the pile. Is able to match fives and plays those down.
( dammit. again. I just have to check on my own for now on. e__e )
stares down at his hand before he quietly asks, "How do you play this game?"
isn't totally sure. "You just match the numbers, right?"
