No Michele, that is just a small slice of the full length movie : "Slacker" Richard Linklater's first film. It has become a real film icon

among the incredible things from this scene: it's a completely aimless narrative, and yet it's a sum toto compilation of the human condition

but linklater's genius is that he offers not one, but *multiple* responses to that recognition, all a response to the previous,

until there is nothing left to do but destroy the creation itself as the ultimate response to the condition.

I mean, hell - his closing shot is the final frames from a camera thrown off a cliff. amazing, profound.

Seems to me like the opposite of fatalism, as each of the speakers has a method or plan of action in response to the human condition....

as opposed to being resigned to inaction.
