I go down from Baguio and this is what Mandaluyong welcomes me with.

the fireworks stalls along the entrance of the Marketplace Mall near here went up in flames approximately 30 minutes ago.

thankfully, it's about 6 lanes of road that separate our block from the explosion.

you know those movies where somebody lights up a fireworks warehouse? IT AINT TRUE.

the sight is NOT spectacular, and the sound of a gajillion superlolos exploding in quick succession over 15 minutes is NOT pretty.

I hope the fire is put under control soon.

firemen got it under control now. I guess it was quite a scare so there are about 2 dozen (!) different fire trucks here. Some even from QC!

yeah. Since that long line of stalls were near a motorcycle parking area, one of the bikes caught fire, exploded, and spread shrapnel.
