she's probably overloading the system while she is browsing because of all the fancy flash players on websites and it's too much for the

computer to handle

no, she probably just needs to get some new RAM which I think is only like $40/stick but she'll need to talk to someone that knows what

kind to get and the maximum she can put in it.
