do you spell it "in the styx" or "in the sticks?" I always spell it Styx, as in the river due to the reference.

I would take anything UrbanDictionary has to say with a grain and half of salt..
But, I still always used "Styx"

I think they are both right. The common idiom is "sticks", but the urban version in some parts local to the river, it was "Styx".
