do you spell it "in the styx" or "in the sticks?" I always spell it Styx, as in the river due to the reference. (thinking)

Sticks. I always thought it meant, "way back in the woods...where the hillbillies are"-kind of reference.

I would take anything UrbanDictionary has to say with a grain and half of salt.. (LOL) But, I still always used "Styx" ;-)

I think they are both right. The common idiom is "sticks", but the urban version in some parts local to the river, it was "Styx".
