made very little use of plurk since signing up, sadly... so many social networks, so little gray matter.

what reminded you of it.
getting the hang of plurk after two weeks: slow to figure out, so not as intuitive as I've like
this was topic of discussion last night's meetup. We think Twitter will last for another year, others iffy
just discovered ipernity too - looks like a Flickr clone, not sure about it. As you say - too many of them.
What does plurk offer over Twitter? I haven't Tweeted...
hasn't used Twitter either, but apparently following conversations is almost impossible there.
So, there's only tweet, no tweet response. THat definitely seems non-optimal.
People tweet "in response to" someone, but go figure anything beyond that.
many friends flickr and local twitter, very fun to see online or on phone, can do private msg too, eavesdrop on all
also, twitter fastest around world for citizen reporting updates. Big on NPR radio show to add comments 2 live show, faster than email
plurk is friendlier and more interactive than twitter but twitter is good for info and alerts
