heard it was Lukas' birthday, she stood outside his house holding a gift wrapped box and fidgeting a bit, she hadn't seen him in a while and
didn't know if this was... acceptable.
walks by the door, watching out for stray Danes and notices her outside. He pauses and takes a deep breath before opening the door. "Hello."
looked a bit like a deer caught in the headlights with that, she hadn't actually expected him to see her... she hadn't even made up her mind
on whether she was going to knock or not. Quickly composing herself she nodded a bit. "Hi..."
frowns ever so slightly. "What's wrong?"
notices the frown and hides one of her own, "ah... nothing, it's just been a while and... well happy birthday."
"I'm sorry. That it's been a while. I mean..."
shakes her head quickly. "Don't be sorry about that. I was gone for a while so it's not your fault." She held the gift out to him. "Here."
takes it and nods. "Thanks. Do you want to come inside?"
blinks a bit before nodding, "if... you don't mind."
steps aside for her. "Not at all."
hesitantly steps inside, she looked over at him for a moment, "I'm sorry. I should have called."
shakes his head. "No, it's perfectly fine."
looks away with that as she nodded again, holding her silence now.
pauses before opening her gift.
had made him a pair of mittens to go with the hat she had made him a while ago. She was still working on the knitting thing....
smiles faintly. "These are nice. Thanks."
nods a bit, still looking a little worried. "You're welcome." She kind of wanted to hug him, but again, it didn't seem... right.
puts them on and pauses before putting a hand on each of her cheeks.
blinks at this and looks up at him completely confused, "I... I missed you."
nods. "I missed you too." This was his way of showing how soft he thought the mittens were.
smiled a bit at that, her hands clutching at the hem of her dress, she didn't know what else to do with them at the moment.
kisses her forehead and moves his hands back to his sides.
flushed lightly at that, she hesitated for a moment before she moved to give him a hug. "How have you been?"
shrugs and hugs her back. "Okay."
looks up at him at that answer. "Just okay?"
nods.
frowns as she pulled back, "ah..."
pauses. "Not bad."
shifts her gaze away again, she was still thinking she should have sent the gift maybe. "That's... good."
preferred that she brought it. "Do... you want something to drink?"
thought he might appreciate that better. She nodded, "yes... please."
starts to walk to the fridge. "Anything in particular?"
shakes her head as she quietly followed, pausing to take her shoes off by the door. "I'm not... picky."
nods slowly before opening it and looking in. "I have iced tea, coke, one beer and water."
pauses, "water is fine."
nods and shuts the fridge, getting her a glass of water and passing it to her.
takes it with a quiet thanks.
watches her.
takes a small sip of it before looking up at him curiously.
glances away quickly.
blinks at that...
looks back at her.
smiles a bit, "I'm sorry. I've been busy with work."
smiles lightly back. "I have as well."
nods a bit, "it's been a bit crazy."
nods. "Ja."
takes another sip of her water. "Do you want to do something? My treat, for your birthday."
"Whatever you want to do."
blinks, "but it's your birthday." She was thinking a movie or something.
nods. "And the best present I could ask for is that you enjoy yourself."
shakes her head quickly, "but..." she frowned a bit with that, "how about we just stay in and watch a movie then?"
smiles. "That sounds wonderful."
nods a bit, "alright... you're picking the movie though."
nods. "Do you want a snack?"
shakes her head lightly, "I'm alright, thank you though."
smiles and pause before taking her hand and starting to walk to the living room.
followed him happily, she held onto his hand tightly. "You're wonderful..."
pauses before blushing the faintest amount. "Thanks."
smiles at this and leans in to kiss him on the cheek. "You're welcome." She didn't know why she had said that... she had been thinking it
and well, it came out.
hadn't been expecting anything like it. He stands still before squeezing her hand lightly.
holds his hand a bit tighter, not sure what to do now.
kisses her lightly on the lips.
flushes a bit but smiles and kisses him back lightly.
smiles and brushes some hair behind her ear.
hugs him gently with that as she nodded.
pets her cheek softly.
smiled a bit, she enjoyed spending time with him, though now she had forgotten what they were going to do.
forgot as well and just smiles softly at her.
kissed him lightly again on the lips, "Happy birthday again."
brushes his hand through her hair. "Thank you."
liked the feeling of his hand in her hair, she smiled a bit and kissed him on the cheek. "You're welcome."
smiles back and keeps petting her hair softly.
happily rests her arms around him as she enjoyed the touch.
leans in and kisses her forehead.
smiled a bit up at him, "you're sweet."
pauses. "How so?"
blinks a bit, "you just are, you're the sweetest guy I know."
"You mustn't have met many guys, then."
nods, "I've met enough."
hums quietly. "Well you mustn't have met any decent ones then."
shakes her head lightly. "No... I've met some decent ones, but you're all mine."
pauses before slowly kissing her cheek. "Ja, I am all yours."
smiled a bit as she held him, kissing him back on the cheek lightly. "I don't want to let you go."
