Yes. But lack the confidence.
I retired from the classroom just before joining this PLN. You all inspire me so much I want to go back to work (some days!).
I have thought about it frequently
finish Masters' in May-want to be a tech integration specialist and get out of the classroom - but still want to work in education
definitely thought about finding a school where my colleagues have the same passion to learn and teach as my PLN. I feel isolated sometimes
and just a quick grammar check: according to perfesser Warlick, the correct plural is "all y'all"
ditto a la
rosewellsgirl - and, I'm thinking about making a change again
in the midst as we speak..
but still grapple with which is the road to take
Heh, thanks for the correction. But I like ya'all better. Closer to the way I say it
I just changed districts this summer.
Just blogged @
teach42.com Wondering whether PLN's are bad for morale.
beil: i'm in the same boat! i didn't know there was a PLN out there and now i want to share with those still tching
teach42: no, if i knew about y'all b4 i retired, i would have been a better tchr
I didn't even know what a PLN was til this year. I've been retired 4+ years now and having this PLN helps me stay active in Ed-Tech.
I got my new job thanks to my PLN.
think about it all the time. But, I love teaching!
teach42... read your blog, and commented
I'm a teacher/librarian retiring in June. Online interaction convinced me that decision to work online after retirement is the right one.
I'm a classroom teacher (and nurse, librarian, custodian, disciplinarian) and have always considered job options but LOVE where I am now.
I've thought about going to a different school, but I'd still want to teach math.
Great! I have 2 job openings. I'm a tyrant but you're looking, right? Send me a private plurk. ;->
me - but the budget cuts in ed make me want to stay put
me! I'm starting a grad program in ed tech. What do I do now? Teach middle school foreign language!!
I have, but it was because of politics not by eye opening by PLN even though they have been.
I liked the blog post. And did agree with it for the most part
BTW we have missed you on plurk!
I've always spelled it ya'll
Dschink S. Good point, but I'm referring specifically to digital online communities. Ones with instant gratification and feedback
Not me. I love my job.
Not me. I love my kids. Have been challenged to try new things though.
