I generally feel that way about my job; Many of our customers are small/medium businesses and we know the folks names who call us

actually, the gentleman i heard was talking about quality of life for humans, not so much environment. you ARE healing the world, Gracie.
doesn't feel like that at all in my job.
that's a great attitude to have, regardless of job. i need to adopt it!

the gentleman i heard does security for computer systems - he's a software engineer. he views his job as protecting people from "bad guys"

so you see - it really isn't the job per se, but his attitude toward it.
I sometimes get up thinking that. Then I realize that I work in NYC.
