Oh, does that mean you go to see plays or have parts in them? /is slightly dim sometimes.
Both really - I'm doing as much as I can get my hands on.
Watching, producing, directing, acting, stage stuff, back stage stuff, bar work,
Its mostly the social aspect I'm joining for - I dont really have many friends at work and I feel cooped up with not much to do as of late
so I thought I'd do something about it.
Ah, that's really cool. A chance to have fun and make friends at the same time. :3
I'm jealous. If I was not cripplingly introverted/bad at acting I would become an actress just so I could spend all my time at the theatre.
You can - volunteer for tech or stage management.
Or even direction. I bet you'd enjoy it if you gave it a try.
I don't know if there's anything I'd be good at. But it might be worth a try. I had an uncle who was a production designer.
I always felt I'd find doing something like that really exciting.
You never know unless you try.
see what happens. Any theatres near you?
Um, there's one in Truro, about an hour's drive away... But I don't know what kind of opportunities there are there.
Well if your in the area have a look - they may not even do voluntary work, but its always worth checking.
The stables - really happy about that as I used to do a lot of youth theatre there so its nice to give something back
oh, I didn't know they had their own club. Coooool. The stables is awesome.
