It is a pretty thing to be a memory, I think.
But pretty, also, to be outgrown.
But then, I have always felt too small to be outgrown..
An abandonment, instead of an outgrowing..
You must show your face to still be seen.
Maybe wanting to be remembered is like wanting a crystalized, definitive form.
If it is to end, then wanting it to end definitively, beautifully, in a way that does not overshadow the way it existed.
Rather than dribbling out and on like a thread of snotty spittle
expectoration is not so ugly a way to go as it sounds I imagine. Metaphor charges all things for better or worse to their extremes.
There will always be a place for you to return to. i don't blow my nose, anywho.
