iPad 1 on launch week, and used it for work daily and we both used it at home; she liked it enough that I bought an IPad2 on launch week.

I had bought an iPod touch years ago, and she liked it enough when the 3GS came out I bought her one on launch day, and she still loves it.

When the iPhone 5 comes out, I'll swap out the 3GSs and sell or gift away the old ones, and when we get an iPad 3 one of our parents will

get the iPad 1, most likely.

i love my iPad but I am sure I don't even begin to use all the things it can do. I mostly use it to travel to meetings and such.

No major graphics, but you can tp, navigate, listen to shared media, chat, IM, manage inventory, etc

when I'm in a hotel, etc, it's what I use to get to SL music events when I don't have the bandwidth to watch.

I can listen and chat and still take part. You have to navigate by dots on a map or using the map viewer, but it works in a pinch

so.... if i get everything done TODAY, i could go to the beach tomorrow with all of you in my iPad, right?

If there's no wifi it'd still eat some bandwidth on the 3G plan so maybe an expensive option.
