Ok, lets just get this bit out of the way;
Warhammer Vampire Counts.
This is the one army, the one race, story, charcaters and modles that unconditionally brought me into my hobby.
I would skin cats, punch babies, kiss very old amorus gay hobo men, anything for this army.
So, fan boi gushing aside, lets talk about my predictions for the army;
Monsters - in this edition we are seeing the return of the big beasty so at the very least we can look forward to a new zombie dragon
or a winged nightmare. I'd couple this with some new ogre sized infantry, although both of these ideas have been put forward for the last
editions and have failed to materialise so dont hold your breath.
New modles - well if they dont give me plastic black knights I will cry, just saying.
Due to Arkhan reapearing in the Tomb King book I's say we will see the return of some more blasts from the past - Kemmler and Krell
and with them the reenstatement of necromancers as workable characters.
I will also predict that the necromatic magic will change - either it will be scrapped as we know it or that it will be split into two
Hell, i'll throw this out to you as well; more charcters and more mounts. Zacharius will return, even if its only as a mention, as will
Melkhoir and a few of the minor characters like the Doom Lord of Middenhiem.
No Nagash - maybe as a collectors modle, but no more than that.
New zombies will be reliesed though and I'd also hazard a guess at new bats and ghosts as well.
I'd guess that the overall feel to the army wont change to muc - even thoug they've been the most changeable both midle and
Power? Well everyone does say that new armies trump the old ones everytime, but I'll go out on a limb and say that they will be magic
dominant and thats about it.
Be prepared for a lot of people to feel the bite of the magic item dump and complain that their characters dont get all those goodies they
used to have. As long as the bloodline abilities remain strong then that works for me.
