those with kiddos, how young is too young for chess? Is 5 ok if the kid keeps asking to learn?

My son learned at 5. We played a lot last spring. He just turned 6.

Not that I can remember all the rules anymore, but the basics are there.

I'll forgo some rules, like touch move, which are generally tournament only, to make it easier.

whenever they want to learn is fine. I don't pay attention to age recommendation on games.. if someone wants to learn something, any age is
