For those who haven't tried it out yet, this version includes gradual windlight transitions: (see demo here)

And it *can* be turned off if you prefer. Prefs > Phoenix > Page 2 > Windlight, uncheck top box.

And though the YouTube video includes Firestorm in the title, The transitions are not in a FS release yet, just in the code. And in Phoenix.
