I would recommend the district purchase iTouches. Also, using laptops, desktops for some of the activities

keep in mind that all students doing the same thing at the same time is impossible if they don't have phones, so cooperative learning...

Classrooms should have a few paper agendas, calculators, a camera etc what ever the activity calls for.

Can most Smartphones be used without being on contract? For example, can they access the internet using the school wifi?

mnelson438: Nope. We at TPLC tried that a couple years ago with iPhones. Wouldn't work. Had to buy a data plan.

ktibbs, that makes sense. I still have a whole lab of Palms that I can send out to the classrooms. No internet, but the apps work.
