Guess which is paid the most by insurance:

1. ER stay of 4 hours which resulted in emergency transfer to Children's Hospital

2. 18 mile ambulance ride from local ER to Children's Hospital

3. Children's Hospital stay in the Pediatric ICU for 3 days.

nooo that is what is the most but is NOT covered! what is most covered is the ICU ped stay!!!

it was the ambulance ride! after 2 appeals and an internal bump, they paid it finally.

the ICU was paid the least. which makes absolutely no sense to me.

Potentially the end?! YAY

the medical bill roller coaster!!!! hopefully it will be over with soon.

i was denied coverage for sophia's birth because I need permission to stay more then 48 hrs in the hospital.

funny thing - I was only there for approx 26 hours.

this has been such a hassle. I am thankful we have insurance, but it has been really expensive and seriously time-consuming to deal with it.
