I have to agree with Kymberli_M. ideally you should just have dog tags made for the whole family, sharpie washes off some too.
And dog tags get separated in flodwaters, too...
FYI on water forces: one cubic yard of water weighs nearly a ton. The only way you can really ensure info stays with you is to tatoo it on
your body.
