I love painting. My grandfather was a professional commercial & residential painter in the painter's union. I think painting is soothing.

I was exhausted. I was also trying to live up to my grandpa's standards. I'm a bit of a perfectionist. He passed in 1981.

I'm a bit like Adrian Monk - my eye is drawn towards this one spot I messed up and I know it's going to bug me if I don't fix it.

from where I sit at my computer, if the lighting is just right - I've seen some imperfection. It drives me crazy.
