We send home 10 page newsletters each month. Large type, no columns usually one article per page. And every kid gets one even if there's 3

siblings in the school.

OMG that's awful. We've cut down dramatically on paper. This month district is FINALLY cutting out the lunch calendar home to each family

since it's been posted on the website.

I suggested that over a year ago, but they were still sending it home to every elem. household. At least it was only 1 per family

our principal emails her weekly newsletter!

yes, we get "news" at staff meetings or via e-mail too. All school newsletters go home (district-wide) via e-mail

we only print copies for those families who have told us they don't have Internet access

I get aggravated when my daughter's MS sends me an e-mail announcement and then proceeds to MAIL me a copy of the same thing

We send home a bi-weekly newsletter that combines need to know info, lunch menus and class notes. All on one 11x17 page.

Not terribly efficient but better than paper for each of those!

My district is using a Listserv for parent communication. Print copies only for those who didn't provide an email address.

Our PTA newsletter is posted online, but the school sends home a full size sheet with URL on it. Not exactly saving paper!

my district use to mail every employee a birthday card on their birthday. Such a waste of money! Everything was "stampted".

teryl_magee I totally agree on printing the email thing. I completely blow up every time I get one.
