I'm curious but not sure I want one
Oh you want one! I have found that I read faster on the Nook
i lovelovelove my nook, but i have the old school e-ink version.
BUT I would go for the just the plain black and white one for reading since the color ones have a glare
which makes it hard to read outside
okay - but what else can they do? no uni-taskers allowed!
The only difference between the two, was that the nook is compatitible with library ebook loans but that is about to change soon
If you want multitasking, you'll want the color version
if you dont want a unitasker, then get an ipad.
I have a Nook and an ipad. Although I can read on the ipad, I bought the Nook because I was more comfortable taking it to the pool
since it was cheaper (in case seomthing happens to it ) and there it has the no-glare screen
I send off patterns to my kindle for easy travel knitting. I'm sure the book offers the same.
you can make an image on the micro SD card for the NC & turn it into a 7" Android laptop w/o rooting it & voiding the warranty. I love mine!
i bought my kindle cause I really just wanted it for reading.....if i'd wanted more i'd have gone for the ipad
are there knitting applications?
IMHO, Kindles and nooks really are just good for the thing they are made for, reading. There aren't really other apps.
Kindle has a few word games but I find them more trouble than they are worth
^^^^^^ I've got to turn the brightness waaayyyy down when I want to read. I prefer my nook for reading
I agree totally with
