fandom deals with the disappointments of Red Hood and the Outlaws, READY GO:
this is generally why I steer more towards manga than comic books. It's easier to spot the crap a mile away before you get your hopes up.
well, and the authorship is consistent
that is by far the biggest difference
you don't have this total hodgepodge
when the worst of gone-too-long is Bleach and co?
are you in a better state.
I don't follow shounen series SO I SUPPOSE I'M FREE OF THAT, TOO
My boyfriend's been trying to introduce me to comics but the only ones I've even remotely enjoyed are deadpool
and that's entirely for the silliness and nothing else :T
a lot of it is HOW you get into it
I HIGHLY recommend reading one-shots and best-known TPBs
like the Dark Knight Returns
and I personally love starting at the beginning with the old stuff-- Marvel has the Essentials volumes, for example
The Dark Phoenix Saga is just classic
hahah, I might look into these at some point, then, if you recommend them XD
I do! Although my favorite American comics will always be Hellboy and Sandman.
Fables is the only series I follow
I haven't checked out BPRD yet, but it should be fantastic
OH yes. I can't really get into Fables, for some reason, but it is definitely better than a lot of stuff out there
Fables has great stories, but sometimes the characters fall flat.
also anything Bruce Timm has done / = writer of Batman animated
I just bought 'Mad Love and Other Stories" because it is so awesome
