sad but true. I remember in highschool being in the school bathroom when a bunch of girls were crowded around the mirror, doing their

makeup and going on and on about how ugly they were. That was when I knew something was very wrong with this whole beauty culture.

(and those girls were all very pretty. it was sickening)

Even though I don't wear makeup on a regular basis, there's nothing wrong with it.

I mean, there's only so much covering up you can do, but when done right it can make you look good.

These days, I don't wear makeup at all, except for very special occasions. I am too lazy and wake up late; I can go out without makeup, but

not without brushing my teeth or my hair!

I don't think there's anything wrong with makeup either. I love makeup. I don't think that comic is about makeup.

Agrees with SunshineTentacles. It is about self perception and the ad industry had made people feel inferior without "products".

I quite agree that makeup can enhance elements of the face much as clothing can enhance the rest of the package.

BUT, that doesn't mean that the person looks bad without the makeup or in "lesser" clothing.
