Feel free to make comments here as well, but it's easier to keep tabs on the results using a poll on maxbumps
asking so if he gets around to making his music available to buy he knows where best to place it.
I still mostly buy CD's.... but I get mp3's from itunes
many of those sites don't work for me, eg amazon doesn't work in Europe
if I buy it's usually physical CDs, but I can't always afford to buy
yes Julian, I thought that might be the case re. sites not working in Europe
I buy more cd's than I do download mp3's
iTunes doesn't work for me as I'm a Ubuntu user...so 2 big ones off for me
I'm just aiming to get a rough idea, plus iTunes (for example) is individual to each country, so unlikely I'd be able to put on all of them
I was considering tunecore timyjl
Yeah... That's sucks about itunes
to be honest I don't know if there would be a demand for my songs

And if you don't mind the quality they are free on the61 already!
emusic is pretty cool, too.
I buy at AmazonMP3. High bitrate no copy protection. Automagically loads into itunes. I buy most of my CDs there too.
I use their all-you-can-eat shipping. It works out great for me.
Ohhhh thanks for the info PhiloBro!!
It is easy for me to go to somewhere and wind up spending 70+ bucks on music
then I don't think twice if I want one book or one cd... I order it and it just shows up at my door one or two days later.
I have found tho, that Target is actually a good place for "Artists on the verge" and most of these artists are $9.99
I like amiestreet also, for selected artists
I think the short answer is there is no one site that will be able to service/satisfy. I use a few other sites...
such as junodownload, bleep, beatport, addictech, djdownload for more specialised/hard to find material
thanks for that suggestion Dandrew/Faidley
I buy more CDs, in a local shop. Get some more obscure stuff from CD Baby. And I prefer Amazon for downloads for same reasons as
philomath
I'm just a bit pissed off, since amazon said about a year ago that they would offer the mp3 service to Europe, but nothing ever happened
amazon.co.uk recently started to sell mp3's, but I appreciate that is not any use to the rest of Europe
it's not, but good to know, I hadn't noticed...it's just one of the areas where the EU still has found no common sense
meaning copyrights and stuff...the isle of men might legalize filesharing completely, btw
