succumb to the power of his men. He adjusted the fur cloak around his neck; his body may have been much more lanky and awkward in_
comparison to the brusque men that belonged to his nation, but what he lacked in visible strength he made up for in imposing stature,_
having shot up rather suddenly in the past few years. His eyes narrowed as he walked silently, his lips ever-so-slightly curled up in to a_
look of smugness as he sought out the prizes of war. The land itself and the people weren't what had interested him... it was him. The_
entire reason for seeking to overcome the nation... He would not leave without Finland, be it by choice or force.
was consoling a small family that he was currently hiding out with. His former boss had made him hide here. He gave the little a small hug.
He couldn't stay in this dug out cold storage forever. He quietly got up and snuck outside, sliding the grass cover back over the opening
nodded at a few men as they told him about the village, having just finished unsuccessfully searching the huts for Finland. His uplifted_
mood could not be affected by Tino's stubbornness to make himself known, however. The nation was now his; his leader was dead, and his_
people, and he, were now under Swedish control.
came around the edge of the hut, spotting Sweden his expression turned dark. He slowly approached him, his tunic stained looser on him than
nearly cried with glee when his gaze finally drifted towards the shorter nation. He'd only seen Tino on a few brief occasions, yet like a_
child that had never been denied what it wanted he had decided almost immediately upon meeting him that one day... One day Finland would_
be his. Not as a shield against Russia as his leader had planned, but as his. His eyes took on an almost predatorial gleam of_
triumphant glee at the appearance of Tino, with his loosened tunic, against the back-drop of a village in shambles only furthering his_
unhealthy pride at knowing that he had caused this. He had won this.
walked up to him with the last bit of pride his people had, he kept his gaze hard as he stood in front of him. He didn't know what to the
to say* to the other man as he looked up at him. He decided against saying anything and just gave him a good hard slap instead.
was, at best, amused by the slap. It did hurt, and he had hoped that Finland would see the logic behind their union. Finland, as a nation,_
had much to learn; and Sweden could help with that! He was only looking out for his best interest; it was better that he belonged to Sweden_
than to Russia, after all. He reached up to touch his cheek, his lips pressing in to a firm line. "C'mon." He was ready to go home.
shook his head at that. He turned away from him and headed back to check on his people. He wasn't going to leave them.
glared darkly at the back of his head before reaching out and roughly grabbing at his wrist. He pulled the smaller man with great strength,_
not opposed to using force to bring Finland home. It was like any other conquest, only this time it was more personal, and for (in his mind)
stopped, annoyed that he had been grabbed he tried to shake himself free, pulling away from him. "Let go of me!" he didn't speak the other's
language at all but he was sure that kicked him might work.
nearly sneered in annoyance, his eyes narrowing at him. He didn't need to understand what he said to know his distaste for the situation,_
though it was of no consequence to him. He continued to drag him away from his people, and towards the small camp of Swedish men that were_
planning to return home. The others that were remaining had already begun to "mingle" amongst the Finns. He would be forced to have his_
men bind Tino were he unable to cooperate; it was a movement he hoped to avoid, but he didn't mind it if necessary.
did not like being dragged like this. He caught up to him and gave him a good hard kick to the back of the knee.
winced as he nearly tripped thanks to Tino. He glowered at him and stood up straight. Surely, it would leave a bruise, but he wouldn't let_
on that it pained him. He tightened his grip on his wrist, purposely holding it just a bit too constricting.
cried out a bit as the grip only got tighter on his wrist. He pulled back again, he wasn't about to let him take him easily. Even if his
people had already fallen. That didn't mean he had to play nice with the Swede.
called one of his men over, urging them to bring some rope. He gave Tino an almost soft, but not quite, look as a couple of men surrounded_
them, prepared to bind his hands and feet at the Swede's call.
glared at him, he gave him one more hard kick to his shin. He didn't care if the man had him tied. He wasn't going to be nice to him.
growled under his breath and motioned for the men to tie him down, using whatever force was necessary. He had hoped it wouldn't come to_
this, but little could be done now.
didn't bother fighting to much at that point, he knew he couldn't get away from all of them. He continued to glare at the other man the
entire time though. Not impressed with him one bit.
wasn't going to bother trying to impress him. What point was there in impressing someone such as him? He was a possession now, the fruits_
of his labor, and as such he would be doted on, and treated much more akin to a cherished toy than an actual human.
would hurt him every chance he got. He wanted to do far more to the man than that.
waited until he was entirely bound up before tossing Tino over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. Once they arrived home he would be_
locked safely away where no one but he could see him. He refused to share; even if it meant keeping his new toy in the darkness.
fought the urge to say something rude to him as he was thrown over his shoulder. "You're an ass and I will never give you anything you want.
had no idea what he was being told, but decided that if he was going to speak out so rudely, he'd have him gagged. He would really have to_
learn some self-restraint if this was going to work out.
would never give him the satisfaction. He continued to curse at him as he was carried. He hated this man already. He liked Russia better.
didn't care if he was liked or not. The purpose of conquering someone and claiming them as your own was not to befriend them, or to sit_
around a fire cleaning one another's hair like women... it was to exert power and prove one's strength; something that he had no qualms_
wondered if the rummors were true about what nations did the to the nations he concured. "I would prefer Russia over you."
would be lashed him had he known what he was saying, but understood none of it and ignored him as he continued home.
realized his elbows were at least free. He shifted a bit and elbowed him in the back of the head.
growled at him and threw him on to the ground before pulling out more rope to bind his arms down to his body. He was really making this more
difficult than it needed to be.
cried out in pain as he was thrown to the ground, he struggled a bit as he tied him more. "Russia is way better than you are." He didn't
care if he didn't understand him.
"I don't understand you," He sang darkly in his own language with a soft chuckle while digging the heel of his foot in to the Finn's back_
winced as he closed his eyes to hide the pain. The a*s hole... He said the one swear word he knew in Swedish, it was actually the only word
he knew in the other langauge.
was nearly pressing all of his weight on his foot as he heard the swear word. It sounded so dirty coming from the Finn's mouth. He knelt_
down besides him, keeping his foot pinned between his shoulder blades, Tino's arms now tied securely to his back. With a sneer he picked_
up a handful of dirt, smearing it over the Finn's face. "Your Swedish is worse than your Finnish." He didn't care if he understood it or_
not; he figured the rock and twig filled dirt in his mouth gave enough of an impression.
felt tears sting his eyes at that as he tried to keep his mouth shut. He was going to kill this man. He closed his eyes tightly, he wouldn't
stood up and wiped his hands on the side of his tunic. He gave a quick, but firm kick to Tino's side, hoping it would leave a sore bruise_
that irritated him for the duration of their travels.
chocked back a sob as he rolled away from him with the kick. "Bastard."
took a deep breath, enjoying the fresh air. He then knelt down and hoisted Tino up with little care or finesse. He was lucky that he'd_
outgrown his viking stage; there were much more brutal methods of forcing him in to submission that could have been used, but he was feeling
generous and kind; there was something he liked about the boy, and he didn't want him to accidentally die.
wouldn't die so easily. He stayed silent as he was picked up. Like hell he was going to give in to this man. His people wouldn't want him
is certain that in time his people, and he, would come to appreciate Swedish culture.
would never come to appreciate it. "Ass."
ignored him, willing them to arrive home quicker so that he could lock the Finn up and take a much needed bath.
was trying to deal with the pain in his side and his back.
would be pleased to know that. If he was feeling kind hearted, he might even allow Tino to eat when they got home.
wouldn't eat anything the man gave him. He'd sooner starve. At least then he wouldn't be his possession anymore.
would force him to eat if it was necessary. As darkness settled in his men began speaking of making a camp. Despite his desire to press_
forward and continue homeward he knew that the men lacked the same stamina and strength of a nation, so he remorsefully conceded. He_
haphazardly tossed the Finn against a tree, then tied him to it as securely as he could; he couldn't have his prize getting away as he_
helped to prepare the camp.
glared at him the whole time, holding back any show of pain now. No use if giving him that bit of triumph as well. "I'll never be yours."
wouldn't have understood him if he had heard it, but he was busy speaking with the men as they built a sufficient camp and prepared a fire_
to keep them warm and safe during the night.
tried to work his way out of the ropes while the other nation was busy but it really wasn't much use. He shouldn't have come out of that
would have found him either way; even if they had to destroy the entire village. After the fire had set up a few of the men began to_
prepare dinner. He found a log near Tino and sat on it while drinking and watching him appreciatively.
ignored him now, his gaze fixed on the ground as he went over everything that had happened. He didn't like this man and he wasn't going to
let himself become just some object to him either.
would say that it is a bit too late for that, as he was already an object in his mind; just like any other person. Friendships and emotional
attachment to another being was foolish; so he preferred to remain detached, and look at everyone as being things rather than people.
would think that he must be one lonely person who deserves nothing else more than that if that's how he looked at other people.
would rather be lonely than controlled by another; freedom meant more than companionship... but that didn't matter, because now Tino had_
to be his companion, so in time he hoped that they could grow closer.
would never grow closer to him. He winced when a small wound in his arm reminded him of its existence, still refusing to look at him. He
mumbled something about Denmark as he thought about the past.
failed to hear him, though if he had understood it he would have been rage filled, and wondered how the hell he had met the Dane.
had met the Dane a while ago, he hadn't stayed in one place. He actually liked Denmark even. He closed his eyes and pulled his knees up to
his chest, unable to do much else.
continued to watch the Finn, even after his dinner was brought to him. He would not be sharing with Tino tonight; his behavior earlier_
hardly warranted a reward.
didn't move once, he wouldn't eat even if the other man did give him something. He wasn't about to sleep either.
finished eating, then yawned. It was getting chilly. He dug through a large bag and pulled out a fur blanket for himself.
continued to stay still, not minding the cold. He was used to it after all. Even if it did get colder at night.
hoped it didn't snow. He curled up comfortably beneath the blanket, making a make-shift bed for himself on the ground a short distance away_
would never even think of showing he was cold of uncomfortable. He was still in pain and thinking about his people, but he wasn't going to
watched him for a while as he was drifting off in to sleep, fantasizing about running through fields of spring flowers together...
would have killed him if he knew was he thinking about. He would never even give the man smile.
would wait centuries for it; he could be persistent, and stubborn.
could be just as stubborn. He didn't sleep though. He stayed up, biting his lip every so often to fight off sleep.
slept peacefully; he had had a tiring week, and a rewarding day to say the least.
would make sure not to give him anything else to be happy about.
had more than enough to be happy about. Finland was his!
would make him regret it.
doesn't believe in having regrets~
will make him believe it. He was slowly working on slipping his hands out of the ropes, he was making progress with that.
had a man watching from a distance in case anything happened; he wasn't going to let his precious treasure go unguarded.
wasn't going to make a run for it, he knew that was pointless. No he had other plans.
stirred in his sleep, but didn't wake. He was dreaming of butterflies.
continued to work at getting his hands free the entire night.
slept soundly until the sound of other men moving about the camp for breakfast woke him. He stretched out and yawned blearily.
had gotten his hands free by the time he noticed him wake up. He kept the behind his back though.
went about his morning routine, paying little attention to his prisoner/prize.
ignored him completely as he kept his eyes closed. Just listening.
felt a bit sore from sleeping that night; so he was going to tie Tino on to a cart with other spoils of war in it once they packed up.
would be less than impressed by that. He looked up at him for a moment before he went back to ignoring him.
cleaned a spot in the cart for his prisoner and had a couple of the men untie him from the tree.
glared at him as they did that. He muttered something else about preferring Russia over him again.
had already learned to tune out the sound of Tino's voice and hummed as he approached Tino, wrapping more ropes around his torso to bind his
arms to his body, the ropes digging in deeply.
glared at him, cursing in Finnish now at that. The jerk. He would certainly make him pay for this. He didn't care how long it took him
to achieve that. He wouldn't be the idiot's forever.
tossed him over his shoulder and carried him to the cart. He dropped him roughly in to it and pulled a large piece of fabric over him.
kicked out at him as best he could, he wasn't some damn object to be thrown around.
smirked to himself and let the men tie down the material to secure it.
was going to kill him. Even if it took him everything he had.
would think his efforts were cute, and would thwart him every time.
would continue to thwart him~
didn't think he could do that forever.
will have to see about that. For now he wasn't going to give him any satisfaction.
had enough satisfaction without Tino doing anything.
thinks he's worse than Russia if that's the case.
doesn't care what he thinks.
knows that already. He was severely uncomfortable and in pain and hungry, though he'd never admit to any of that.
thinks that Finland should appreciate his generosity. He could have treated him much harsher.
doesn't think he has a generous bone in his body.
