I think I'd avoid it...IMO exes need to stay in the past. There's a good chance of trouble rearing its head. Send a gift instead.
Take a date! If I was as hot as Genie, I'd go with you and show them that you can get the hot girls.
However, I don't think the RL me would impress anybody. 
Genie, you'd be surprised what impresses people. Poise and brilliance make up for looks any day.
