(well, Bratworth specifically)

He has the potential to be both a genuinely good, brave, upstanding person, but also a snide, sneaky, extremist little snot

Example: In the AAI flashback he went out of his way to help Gumshoe because he thought he was innocent, expressed sympathy to the defense-

for her loss, and felt a great deal of empathy for a little girl who lost her dad in similar circumstances that he lost his

Meanwhile, in the T&T flashback (which took place later in the timeline, but was written first)

He hides evidence, he lies by omission, and he manipulates the courtroom as much as he can just to make his witness look good

he also shows little patience for fools, and is an all around harsh guy

so basically I have to make sure I balance his good traits and his bad traits without ignoring the other
