But in other thrilling news the Christmas cakes are actually in the oven and have cooked to sweet fruity perfection - both have no nuts

as my housemate Stuart has a 'live or die' policy with nuts.

IE; they can all die so that he can live.

Hurray! That sounds lovely. I baked mine about a week ago, and I'm now in the rather odd stage of feeding it brandy once a week...

I hope you replaced the nuts with extra brandy for Stuart. :3

The big one is Willfred and the little on is Polly-Anna.

Polly-Anna is the family secrete (we dont talk about her much)

We have such different approaches. I'm appalled by the idea of eating something that's been anthropomorphised. You are thrilled by it.

Polly-Anna and Wilfred are cute names though.
