He had been sick for a little while. I had hoped he'd get better. I went to go out to eat that night,

and he stretched out over my foot and layed his head down to stop me from putting on my shoes. Almost as to say, 'no, don't leave'.

When I got back to my house, my mom was trying to feed him, but he wasn't that responsive.

I picked him up and found he was having some breathing probs. So I opened my freezer..sometimes the cool air helps me breathe.

It helped him a little. Mostly he just clung to me, as my mom tried to find an emergency vet to no avail.

I wanted to rush him to the ER down the street, but my mom argued that you can't do that, that they don't take animals.

WTF?! Animals are people too! That was like my dying child!

Plus, I've seen it done on TV. It was worth a try. I tried CPR, but it didn't work. He was gone. My baby Hooey is in Heaven now.

So sorry , I lost my 15 yr old puppy this year also
